The Hydraulics bite valve is compatible with the Hydraulics LT Reservoir to protect your bite valve from things such as dirt and dust therefore allowing you to drink without fear. Perfect for any serious adventurer.
Osprey also incorporated a strong magnetic system into the bite valve and a simple ¼ turn on/off, which meant the hose and bite valve remains in place when not in use, but delivers liquid on demand. Then they made the whole system from taste-free anti-microbial materials able to withstand either freezing or boiling water. Finally Osprey added a quick connect system, allowing you to remove the delivery system for easier access, replacement and cleaning.

Manufactured using new MPE film, which provides the taste-free quality of PE(polyethylene) with the added benefit of extra strength over typical PE films. The "M" in MPE stands for metallocene, a special catalyst used in the manufacture of the PE resin. It forms a PE that is more consistent and even in structure, resulting in greater strength and resiliency, making it ideal for reservoirs. This added durability allows it to handle hot water. It is BPA & PVC free, of course. Developed with a new HydroStatic™ backer plate; creating a wider and lower profile. A traditional reservoir barrels out and forms a straight tube when filled, interfering with a pack’s ability to fit the body. The HydroStatic™ plate shapes the reservoir to ensure pack fit is preserved for optimal stability and comfort.
Osprey’s Hydraulics Lumbar 1.5L Reservoir comes with a tough, durable TPU material construction that is completely free from BPA and PVC which protects the taste of your water. The bladder is easy to use with a slide-seal top opening for easy filling and cleaning. Meanwhile, the hose is easy to replace and remove also for cleaning. The 180-degree on/off bite valve which ensures fast, smooth water delivery for great on the go hydration.
