The welded and eyeletted rim is constructed of a strong and durable 6061 T6 aluminium, the double butted spokes are black Sapim race stainless steel and the nipples are silver brass. The wheels come equipped with Hope s Pro 4 hub. The boost rear wheel option comes built with a 148x12mm boost specific hub. All the wheels are machine built and hand finished in Barnoldswick.How could Hope possibly follow on from the legendary Pro 2 It was always going to be a tough act to follow. But with the Pro 4, Hope have seemingly done the impossible. With a ground up redesign, the Pro 4 hub takes everything that made the Pro 2 great and brings it bang up to date. With larger diameter flanges to help increase stiffness on modern 27.5 and 29 inch wheels with no weight increase, the Pro 4 uses Hope s bullet proof sealed stainless steel cartridge bearings that make for an extremely reliable centrepiece to your wheelset. The Pro 4 rear hub features a brand new 4 Pawl Ratchet Freehub with 44 tooth engagement to offer a super quick 8.2 degree engagement, transferring every ounce of power you can muster in a ruthless manner. This DH version features a wider hub shell and unique freehub body in order to use 7-speed cassettes. Certain 9, 10 & 11 speed cassettes can be used with certain cogs removed. In true Hope style, they sound the business as well!
