MRP has also equipped this version with a tracked and grooved upper guide with an alloy backplate interface that increases stiffness and eases installation, while its integrated skid protects your chainrings and glides over rocks and obstacles. Coming complete with a standard pulley and G-slide slider block, this chain device ensures quiet, dependable operation in muddy and dank conditions. This models integrated skid plate protects your chainrings from rocks, roots and literally any trail obstacle that requires you to roll over it. The top of the frame mounting area has a raised fin, which will also prevent the chain from dropping behind the chainring and into the bottom bracket shell area of the frame. If you prefer to run the V2 as a chain guide only, then the skid plate can be removed and the dual pulley chain retention device will still perform to the same high level.
