This All-Mountain Guide (AMG) is a great choice for 120-150mm (5-6") travel bikes when used with the latest tensioned rear derailleurs or on its own for shorter-travel trail bikes or hardtails that require bash protection. The contact-free, "upper-only" chain retention on the MRP AMG V2 alloy chain guide means it's virtually silent and completely drag-free when pedalling. The patented integrated skid will protect your crank and chainring and prevent the chain from ever contacting and potentially damaging your expensive frame. As the AMg guide has no chain retention device that is rarely needed with modern narrow/wide chainrings and clutch derailleurs, this guide is drag free when pedalling and still provides trail obstacle protection, as the skid plate is still present.
The MRP 1x chain guide is the result of 20+ years of chainguide experience with the help of design cues from its V3 series. This model boasts a stiff and light glass-filled composite backplate alongside a durable nylon upper guide to add major chain retention to your 1x10, 11 or 12-Speed drivetrain for outstanding quality and performance.
