The rail-friendly saddle clamp design allows for even dispersal of the clamping load whilst offering extensive fore-aft adjustment. This is done by using a top part of the clamp that is shorter than the base. The saddle clamp has a flat top with no screws protruding. This means there is no danger of reducing saddle comfort derived from a dynamic saddle base that might otherwise be restricted from moving. The post can be used back to front, releasing the adjuster wheel all the way. This allows the rider to be closer to their bars in triathlon or time trials. The round shaft is slightly ovalised, using thicker material fore and aft, thinner to each side. This optimal material distribution increases strength whilst keeping weight to a minimum. All seat post clamp parts are heat-treated for 3 times the industry standard, making them particularly durable and corrosion-resistant.
The Fizik stem is designed to form the cockpit when fitted with the Cyrano handlebar and seatpost (available separately). It is made using a combination of Ergal aluminium and Anticorodal aluminium, so you can enjoy an excellent balance of strength and durability as you clock up the miles. Specifically developed for the demands of road cycling, this model ensures a secure hold between your road bike's steerer tube and handlebar. Anticordal is a 6061-series aluminium with a high strength-to-density ratio, this material has the highest level of stiffness. Anticordal also has good fatigue resistance, particularly important in cockpits. Following our extensive research project fi’z:k undertook a whole new construction for the ultimately comfortable, high-performing women’s saddle, Luce. It has a wider sitting area shape narrowing down toward the nose for better weight distribution and less friction on the thighs. Luce Carbon Large is a wider option, to accommodate the best fit for all women cyclists, with a maximum width of 155mm To create a shape for truly comfortable high-performance long rides, we made the strong, light shell from three separate sections: a carbon reinforced nylon spine co-injected with two very flexible, strong panels made from a thermoplastic elastomer. We built the Luce Carbon Large on narrow carbon Mobius rail construction, accommodating a specially designed elongated pressure relief cut out, offering a combination of flexible support – called IschialFlex - under the sit-bones and comfortable freedom for the rider’s soft tissues. This unique shape that provides a perfect profile for female cyclists and maintains structural stability over time. Luce Carbon Large - made for women - has a maximum width of 155mm and weighs just 185g.
