Carogna double sided adhesive tape for Tubulars bridges the gap between previously existing tapes and mastic in terms of gluing performance and heat-resistance.• Extremely easy to use compared to mastic.• Very reliable adhesion, in any condition.• Once removed, Carogna leaves the rim ready for the next gluing, without additional cleaning.• Works for Road and Cyclocross.• Also available in very convenient Shop Rolls.Why We Created It:We started developing Carogna (pronounced “car-own-ya”) double sided adhesive Tubular Tape with a clear and ambitious goal: to bridge the gap between previously existing tapes and mastic in terms of gluing performance and heat-resistance, while retaining all the advantages of tapes.In addition to this, we gave specific additional consideration to Cyclocross and MTB Tubulars, where specific features are needed from the gluing standpoint.Universal Performance:Carogna has been tested and is designed to perform flawlessly on any rim material (Aluminium, Carbon), with any Tubular (seamless, handmade, vulcanized sew-ups…), on and off-road.Specific Adhesive Properties on Rim and Tubular:Two Application-Specific SidesSemi-structural and removable on the rim-side: adhesion is guaranteed by industrial-grade acrylic glue, native to the base tape; this means that when removing the Tubular (breaking its bond with the rim), the acrylic glue will stay on the tape, not on the rim. Acrylic has a good adhesion on both Aluminium and Carbon without any specific surface preparation.Permanent on the Tubular SideThere’s a 1 mm-thick layer of a recently-developed permanent glue for underwater applications. This thick glue film will move and spread when the Tubular is first inflated, ensuring optimized contact with any Tubular base tape geometry. Humidity is obviously not an issue, and this glue adheres well to any kind of base tape material (nylon, cotton, poly-cotton) or external finishing (raw, brushed, or coated by neoprene).Wide Temperature Range in UseOnce adhesion is set, the use at low temperatures (down to -40°C) is not a problem. Thermal resistance of all materials used in the manufacture of Carogna was a high priority: Carogna will provide a perfect bonding at 150°C for extended periods (hours), exceeding the heat-resistance of even the best mastics and widely exceeding the heat-resistance of any other tubular tapeOptimized Adhesive Surface:Adhesion is very strong and uniform across the whole circumference of the rim for all Tubulars and it is also uniform across the tubular base tape. One short-coming of tubular tape to-date has been limited adhesion at the edges of the base tape or in the centre of Tubulars with a raised centre seam. Carogna solves these problems.Temperature Range When MountingIdeal thermal range for application of Carogna is between 21°C and 38°C (70 to 100°F), allowing 8 hours to reach 80% of the adhesive strength . Applying the tape below 10°C is not recommended. We recommend cleaning surfaces (rim and tubular base tape) using iso-propylic alcohol or mineral spirits.

It is formulated using pine oil and is also biodegradable.With its pine oil content, Allpine Extra is a powerful yet biodegradable degreaser: after rinsing with water, it will leave your chain perfectly clean. Ideal to prepare the chain for wax-based lubricants, which can adhere to clean metal, without the oily trace left by some common solvents. It is also great for cleaning brake disc rotors.Biodegradable Pine Oil DegreaserIn the development of Allpine Extra, in addition to effectiveness, we also prioritized low ecological impact. The addition of pine oil, a solvent of natural origin, has proved invaluable for these purposes. Allpine Extra is rapidly biodegradable.The Effetto Mariposa Allpine Extra Eco Chain Degreaser provides deep chain cleaning, after a simple rinse.Leaving the Chain on the Bike: Spread Allpine Extra on the chain with a brush (such as our Cog Brush) or using Mangiacatena chain cleaner (recommended) Let Allpine Extra act a few minutes to dissolve all the lubricants Rinse the chain with water to completely flush Allpine Extra, bringing every oily trace with it. This is made possible by its formulation, which includes surfactants (i.e. soaps) of vegetable origin. Your chain will thus be perfectly clean without the need to be disassembled Dry the chain thoroughly and lubricate it (Flowerpower Wax is recommended)Removing the Chain: In case you prefer to perform immersion cleaning, you can fill the bottom of a jar with Allpine Extra and immerse the chain in it after having disassembled it Move the chain in the jar (or shake the jar, if equipped with a screw cap) so that the product penetrates inside the links Wait a few minutes, then take the chain out, letting the Allpine Extra drain into the jar Rinse the chain with water to completely flush Allpine Extra, bringing every oily trace with it Dry the chain thoroughly and lubricate it (we recommend Flowerpower Wax). You can keep Allpine Extra in the closed jar for successive cleaningCleaning Disc Brake Rotors: Allpine Extra can be applied to brake discs to degrease them Apply to the disc surface with a cloth soaked in the product Leave to act for a few minutes Wash off with water Dry the disc with a clean ragFeatures: Rapidly biodegradable and extremely effective in eliminating greases and oils The addition of pine oil enhances the solvent action It contains surfactants of vegetable origin that allow rinsing (with water), eliminating any oily residue. With its pine oil content, Allpine Extra is a powerful yet biodegradable degreaser. It has been developed with pine oil, a natural solvent, to have low ecological impact yet to be highly effective.Powerful degreaser ideal for chainsBiodegradable formulaKind on paint, carbon, chrome500ml bottleCan be used on disc brake rotorsTo deep clean a chain, it is recommended to remove it from the bike and immerse in Allpine Extra for a few minutes. Then scrub the chain with a firm brush (Effetto Cog Brush recommended). Alternatively leave the chain on the bike and use a chain cleaning tool (Effetto Mangiacatena). Rinse the chain with water to flush away the dissolved oil and dirt. Dry the chain before applying fresh lubricant (Effetto Flowerpower Wax recommended). Allpine Extra also cleans disc brake rotors. Remove wheels from bike before cleaning rotors. Apply to a cloth and then wet both disc surfaces. Allow the degreaser to act for a few minutes then rinse with water and dry discs with a clean rag.
