The reason for the easier installation or removal is thanks to Ritchey's unique "press-fit" handlebar clamp. This design improves the interface between the stem and handlebar making attaching the bars to your bike simpler and faster. Also, the forward-facing bolts mean fine tune adjustments are a breeze. Secure and Stable Engagement In addition to easy installation, the WCS 220's clamp design creates a stable and secure bar engagement. This, in turn, increases bar stiffness for more precise handling, sprinting and climbing. Also, the coated CrMo bolts are positioned in alignment with the clamp plate's face for a more efficient hold and reduced flex.
The Dinamo 3D forged stem is made with 7050 T6 aluminium alloy, the variable thickness and the oval section make it extremely light, accurate and reliable in every riding condition.
The Defy 35+ has a low stack height, a low 5-degree rise and with its stubby 35mm length, it combines well with modern bike frame's longer top tubes to give you precise control. For ease of installation there’s a “Top Close” clamp design and to prevent your knees knocking on external bolts, the steerer clamp bolts sit internally.
With a flip-flop design that allows you to fit the stem either way for a more upright seating position, this Pro model is aluminium-made to stay durable and strong through the hardest of rides. With a four-bolt, detachable clamp design, your bar is held securely in place without compromising manoeuvrability, adding further strength to your cockpit. Designed to protect composite-made bars from stresses and impacts, it is sized to fit most common bars and steerers, making it a versatile choice for the avid rider.
Click here to see what Staff Rider Steve thought of the USE Race Stem. Created from forged aerospace 7075 aluminium is then CNC’d to ensure strong enough to go through the rigorous FEA testing, simple to install as conventionally clamped to 31.8mm bars and Carbon friendly. –
Details: The stem is horizontally divided down the centre which allows it to be CNC machined in two pieces. This method allows unrestricted access to the core of the stem which enables weight to be reduced to the absolute minimum without compromising strength. In addition this provides an uninterrupted U shape clamping area, which eliminates the stress risers found on most other clamps which can lead to handlebar failure. For your consideration: Have you considered purchasing the Renthal Fatbar Lite Carbon Handlebars to complete the package?
Featuring aerospace 7075 aluminium alloy, this stem is ideal for high level cross country racers but is strong enough for the all mountain rider.
Easy to install to your mountain bike's (MTB's) suspension forks or rear shock, this genuine Quarq Shockwiz hose kit is supplied with the required hardware.
Finished off perfectly with a high end gloss finish.
The Renthal Apex stem features a unique clamping system. This allows much of the stem body material to be removed, whilst retaining the strength and stiffness demanded by modern, wide handlebars. The clamps are inserted over the small diameter section of the handlebar and slid into the centre, giving a 240-degree wrap of the handlebar. MTB Stem with an Advanced Construction The construction on the Renthal Apex 31.8mm model comprises a fully CNC machined 2014 aluminium body and 7075 aluminium clamps. An oversize centre bore, extensive 3D machining and external webbing maximise structural strength and stiffness and minimise weight. Continuing Renthal's philosophy of giving you the choice in your set-up, the stem is available in 40, 50, 60 and 70mm lengths. Each of these sizes can be flipped to give either a +/-6-degree of rise. This gives options for riders and bikes of all size, type and style.
Reliable and rigid, the 3D forged aluminium alloy Deda Superzero stem features a flat top section to enhance the looks and aerodynamics of your road bike’s front end and its firm clamp keeps your bar snugly held with its Chromoloy (CrMo) bolts. It’s ideal for pairing with Deda’s handlebars, which also adopt the same brand-specific 31.7mm clamping size.
Compatible with Shimano DI2 cable and battery integration, it is the ideal stem for the modern mountain biker, combining an anodised alloy body with titanium bolts for a reliable and robust connection. The four-bolt, Headlock front clamp design keeps a protective and firm hold to your bar, while the integrated adjuster keeps it in the optimum position for comfortable and controlled steering. With a six-degree angle and 31.8mm steerer diameter, this sturdy and dependable stem is an ideal addition to any hard-riding steering column.
