Built around an oversized «Chromoly Plus» steel axle it is composed of an axle with an inner ball bearing and a needle roller bearing located under the contact surface to handle the load and distribute it optimally. A new component has been added between these two bearings. A serrated washer previously used to hold the needle roller bearing in place has been replaced with a conical spacer. This technical solution reduces friction increases fluidity and by consequence decreases the geometrical tolerances of the pedal body and play. The standard Keo cleat has been developed with the goal of minimizing weight and to be a simplified cleat and pedal ensemble, while maintaining compatibility with all shoes on the market. The kinematics function is identical to the standard Delta pedal. Cleat entry and release is secure and efficient.The new Keo Grip is an anti-slip cleat. It is safer for walking and compatible with the complete Keo line. The TPU inserts help keep the cleat in position on the sole side of the cleat and eliminate slip especially with carbon soled shoes, while Looks Position Memory technology allows easy cleat replacement by retaining the position of the previous cleat.
For use with original, pre-Keo pedals, the LOOK Delta shape cleat functions by a rotational movement that allows release by the interior or exterior of the foot. The two sided exit improves safety. There is nothing to interfere with inside pedal release. The fluoropolymer material eases entry and exit and diminishes considerably the possibility of cleat noise.
