The 9120 shifters feature a re-designed brake hood that is more comfortable to grip, especially for those with smaller hands. The shifters also offer up to 14mm of reach adjustment. Dura-Ace R9100 STI are lightweight thanks to carbon fibre lever blades, carbon composite bracket body, and a titanium clamp band / fixing bolt. Shift cables routed under the bar tape using Polymer coated inner wires make for a smooth shift action, providing faster, lighter shifting. Vivid Index shifting with short stroke to the release levers gives a quick and accurate shift. Gear shift cables can either be routed round the front or rear of the handlebar to suit all rider preferences. Ergonomic shift arc follows natural hand movement with inward shift stroke distance reduced for rapid and precise gear changes. Small volume ergonomically designed smooth lever hoods for added comfort. Brake lever pivots have been positioned to increase power and improve ergonomics when riding on the hoods. The lightweight carbon body of these components provides a large shoe contact area to maximise power transfer and support whilst reducing weight. Their wide flat profile gives better road clearance and cornering, also allowing wider bearing placement for increased rigidity and uniform load distribution. The Shimano R9100 Pedals provide a low profile 8.8mm body height from the axle centre to the cleat contact surface and a silky smooth 3-bearing axle system. Plus, there's a wide roller-bearing stainless steel pedal body plate for increased durability. In addition to this, the open design of the Shimano Dura-Ace R9100 pedals allows for easy access and cleat adjustments, while their wider shoe cleat has a long life and is easier for walking than other cleats. Finally, their large binding target allows quick engagement and wide cleats provide more efficient pedalling. There are three types of shoe cleats available: fixed, 3 degrees of float in each direction, or 3 degrees of float from a font-centre pivot.
