This genuine LifeLine workshop-quality hose cutter features a spring-loaded mechanism and a lock for a combination of comfortable ergonomics and safety when not in use.
Available in two compound types; Organic for urban, Cross Country and short Downhill courses, and Sintered for longer distance Enduro, All Mountain, and Cyclocross use. Organic Compound The Organic compound provides a strong initial bite and a reduced bedding in period, making it suitable for riding where generally lighter force is needed, or for one-time race use on Downhill riding. Sintered Compound The Sintered compound may not provide the same initial bite and need some time to warm up to work at their best, but it performs better in wet weather conditions as the metal compound is not affected by mud and water. It’s also much more durable and provides longer fade-free performance on long descents, making them ideal for long distance riding. Click HERE to see the LifeLine Brake Pad Compatibility Chart. Simply find the relevant slot that matches the brand of rotor you're riding with. If the rotor slides into the slot, then it's worn and needs replacing. If the rotor doesn't fit in the slot, then you've still got enough material on the rotor to ensure effective braking. The tool has been precisely machined to ensure you get accurate results. The 2mm slot minimum thickness is a gauge for Tektro and TRP Ebike rotors. The 1.8mm slot minimum thickness is a gauge for Magura rotors. The 1.55mm slot minimum thickness is a gauge for SRAM rotors. The 1.5mm slot minimum thickness is a gauge for Shimano and Hope rotors.
Easy to use and prevent brake rubbing issues. Set the correct clearance between the brake pads and the rotor. The two thin plates simulate the clearance between the brake pads and the rotor. Follow the simple steps below: 1) Loosen the bolts holding the brake caliper to the adaptor/frame. Just loosen it sufficiently so that the brake caliper can slide from side to side. 2/ Insert the Caliper Alignment Tool between the pads and the rotor. 3) Pull the brake lever- focing the pads against the alignment tool and in turn against the rotor 4) While still holding on to the brake lever, tighten the bolts on the brake caliper. 5) Release the brake lever and remove the tool and your pads should now be centred to the rotor with an equal distance either side.
