The tool is pulled through the frame until the flared ends snap in behind the cup. A blow on the tool head removes the cup.
The LifeLine Headset Cup Remover is simple to use and makes headset removal quick without damaging your frame. Instructions Start by securing your frame or bike in a workstand. Feed the closed end through the steerer tube until the splayed end opens inside the steerer tube. Make sure the splayed end of the tool is sat on the lip of the cup and hammer the cup out. When removing the tool follow the closed end down to protect the tool and repeat with the remaining cup. Tip: when hammering the cup out use a rag to catch the cup instead of sending it across the room.

Using this cone cup saves your bodywork by giving a more efficient fit. Recommended for use with carbon-series bikes, it only needs to be used on the drive side of the trainer.
