Removing the crown race is an essential step when changing forks and headsets. Without the proper equipment, removing a crown race from a fork steerer can be a difficult and even damaging process. The LifeLine crown race remover features four sharp blades to reach behind the crown race and provide evenly distributed clamping force when the jaws are tightened. On the reverse, there are four recesses to securely place a screwdriver for alternate striking, allowing you to work the crown race free in a gentle and precise manner, and leaving the crown race and steerer intact.
