Fulcrum Racing Zero C17 Competizione WheelsetThis wheelset from Fulcrum has been engineered to provide you with the next level in range and performance. Designed to take on challenging bends and to offer a seamlessly smooth run thanks to the CULT™ ceramic bearings, this is the ideal wheelset to tackle your next challenge.A special triple milling process makes it possible to reduce the peripheral weight of the rims and to increase the responsiveness of the wheels. They have a differentiated rim height: 27mm at the front to have good handling and 30mm at the rear to transfer all of the power to the wheel.Smoothness is ensured by the famous CULT™ ceramic bearings. The cup and cone technology maintains the most efficient angle of contact between the bearings and bearing seat, increasing the smoothness and durability. The carbon hubs and oversized aluminium rear flange provide an innovative mix that provides excellent torsional rigidity for more efficient power transmission and consequently greater responsiveness.A careful choice of aluminium spokes is used to ensure optimal rigidity and special attention has been paid to aerodynamics. Aluminium nipples have been used and thanks to the lightweight, they reduce the peripheral mass further increasing the responsiveness of the wheels.Features:Wheel Material: AluminiumRim Material: Aluminium (6082, T6 pre-aging), triple milling, square millingTyre Type: 2Way-Fit (clincher & tubeless)Suggested Tyre Width: 25mm to 32mmProfile Height: LowRim Height: Front: 27mm; Rear: 30mmRim Width: Outer: 22.5mm; Inner: 17mmBraking System: CaliperBraking Surface: aluminium braking surface, turnedSpoke Count: Front: 16; Rear: 21 (7 left & 14 right), Two-to-One™Spoke Material: AluminiumSpoke Type: Aero, straight pullNipples: AluminiumFront Hub: Carbon, aluminium flanges, QRRear Hub: Carbon, aluminium oversized flange, QRBearings: CULT ceramic bearings, adjustable cup & cone bearing systemOther: Plasma treated HG freewheel, aluminium axlesWeight: 1510gBuy Fulcrum Wheels & Tyres from Chain Reaction Cycles, the World's Largest Online Bike Store.

Fulcrum Speed 55 Comptz Disc Carbon WheelsetFeaturing two high-quality full carbon rims with a "Twill" carbon fibre finish and a 55mm rim height, this road bike wheelset is the choice of Elia Viviani of Team Cofidis. Ready for the demands of modern road cycling, each rim's carbon build also delivers increased strength, improved rolling resistance and an overall lower weight on your ride, so you can benefit from easier climbing and faster sprinting when on the flat.Road Bike Wheelset with CULT BearingsFulcrum has kitted out this wheelset with its renowned CULT bearings, which allow for further weight savings and achieve unequalled levels of rolling resistance by up to nine times compared to traditional solutions, with a saving of up to 3.5 watts per pedal stroke. Along with the considerable improvement in terms of mechanical performance, this model is also equipped with an updated carbon front hub and an aluminium rear hub, both with an oversized aluminium flange. This means that riders will enjoy smoother, faster and more dependable rolling performance, wherever their ride takes them.2-Way Fit TechnologyFeaturing many of Fulcrum's finest technologies, this version is well-equipped for every mile of road thanks to 2-Way Fit technology. This technology allows riders to choose whether they run the wheelset as tubeless or as a standard clincher. By running tubeless, riders will enjoy performance advantages such as lower rolling resistance, greater stability and fewer chances of punctures or flats. This flexibility also means that you can personally test which of the solutions works best for you, as some riders prefer to use the clincher set-up for training and a tubeless setup for racing. One final highlight is the Fulcrum Speed 55 Comptz Disc Brake Carbon Wheelset has a 19mm internal rim width, which gives you additional freedom in terms of the tyres that can be fitted.Features: Material: Full Carbon with "Twill" Carbon Fibre finish Use: Road Axle Size: Front: 12x100mm; Rear: 12x142mm Rim Width: 26.5mm Inner Rim Width (Channel): 19mm Rim Profile Height: High Rim Height: Front and Rear: 55mm Tyre Width: From 23mm to 50mm Braking System: Disc brake Braking Surface/Option: AFS Spokes Material: Stainless Steel, double-butted Spokes Profile: Rounded Front Wheel Spokes: 21, Two-to-one (14 left - 7 right) Rear Wheel Spokes: 21, Two-to-one (7 left - 14 right) Nipples: Aluminium Front Hub: Carbon, Oversized Aluminium flange Rear Hub: Aluminum, Oversized Aluminium flange Bearings: Ceramic CULT bearings, cup & cone system, adjustable Freehub: Multiple options available to select Others: Plasma treated freewheel. Few brands are as synonymous in cycling tech as Garmin. As you would expect, from their top-of-the-range model, the Edge 1030 Plus is crammed with the most up to date technology and features. With its crisp touchscreen display, long battery life, and superb navigation, this cycling computer is as equally suited to long bikepacking adventures, as it is training and racing in all weather. Screen Clarity Before we delve into the device itself, its most striking feature is the physical size of it. Boasting an 89mm touchscreen display and weighing 124g, the Edge 1030 Plus is certainly a cycling computer that stands out. The benefit of the screen’s size is that it’s easy to read in varying levels of light and is responsive to swipes, even in winter gloves. So whether you’re training before the sun rises or touring on the brightest summer days, you’ll easily be able to flick between data screens and maps. The screen’s size allows you to clearly display up to ten data fields per page and detailed maps, without the need to squint. With access to Garmin’s Connect IQ app store, there’s seemingly endless options for customisable screens. Whether you’re a minimalist or data junky, you’ll be able to tailor your screens to suit your particular need. Big Package, Big Tech As you would expect, from the largest and most expensive computer in the Garmin range, the Edge 1030 Plus is chocked full of tech. It is — of course — Bluetooth and ANT+ compatible, so you can pair your device with heartrate monitors, power meters, turbo trainers, and electronic groupsets. Additionally, this top-tier model also offers WiFi connectivity; making it seamless to sync your routes and rides from the computer (and vice versa). Safety First Garmin have incorporated a number of safety features into this model. Paired with your phone, you can allow your riding buddies and loved ones to track your progress live. With Incident Detection enabled — should the worst happen — the device can automatically send your location to a designated person. You can also receive text and call notifications on the go, so you needn’t miss a message from home. Through the navigation software, you can also receive alerts for approaching hazards, such as steep descents or particularly sharp turns. Navigation From a navigation perspective, this powerful device offers detailed maps, turn-by-turn navigation, off-course calculations, and auto-route creation. All of these features combined, make it ideal for exploring new roads and trails. When using navigation you’ll have access to Garmin’s ClimbPro feature. This handily displays live information on any hill you happen to be on, including the length, gradient, and — crucially — how much longer there is to the top! You’ll also be able to see when the next hill is approaching and how many remain. Data All Day Long Importantly, for a device intended for adventures, the Edge 1030 Plus offers 24-hours of ride time when fully charged. Attach Garmin’s Charge powerpack and it’ll go 48-hours between charges. All this means it’s suitable for bikepacking and any long distance riding. Product Features 89mm full-colour touchscreen display Fully customisable display Bluetooth and ANT+ compatible GPS capable Detailed maps with turn-by-turn navigation and off-course calculations Suggests rides and workouts based on your current training load. Garmin Edge 830 GPS Cycling Computer
  • £302.49
  • RRP £349.99
  • Saving you £14

Despite an influx of competitors in recent years, Garmin still remains synonymous with GPS bike computers. The Edge 830 might be one step down from the company’s top-tier model, but that’s not to say it’s not a state-of-the-art device in its own right. For this version, the US-based brand have packed it full of features that’ll satisfy both road cyclists and mountain bikers. As well as the expected features, like logging your rides, there’s a plethora of training features incorporated, such as the ability to track heat and altitude acclimation training, and a variety of performance metrics. For the mountain bikers, you can capture your airtime, how well you’ve ridden a trail, and explore new trails. Touchscreen Simplicity The Edge 830 has a 66mm (2.6”), colour touchscreen display, supplemented by a few buttons for stopping/starting a ride, lapping, and turning the device on/off. The end result is a very sleekly shaped device, that won’t look out of place on your modern bicycle. Functionally, Garmin have improved upon the previous version, too. The touchscreen is intuitive and simple to use, and it’ll function even in the wet. Navigation Ease Your device will arrive complete with a mapset of the region you bought it in. To make the most of these maps, the Edge 830 has some powerful navigation tricks up its sleeve. Turn-by-turn navigation, on pre-planned routes, is better than ever. You can use Garmin Connect’s heat map data to generate and upload your own routes or use the online-routing platform of your choice to create and upload routes. A key feature that distinguishes this device from lesser devices, like the Edge 530, is that it will perform address-specific routing through the device itself. Meaning, you can enter a street address on the computer and the device will generate a route from your location to the entered location. You can also browse points of interest, such as hotels, shops, train stations, etc. and be taken straight to them. Don’t despair if you go off route or end up in unfamiliar territory. Auto-rerouting will get you back on track and you can use the navigation software to take you back to your saved locations, like home. ClimbPro ClimbPro is a feature Garmin have added for those that spend their days climbing, whether you like climbs or not. When using a pre-loaded route, this feature will automatically generate detailed climb charts for the climbs on your route. You’ll be able to see how far there is to go, the average grade for the remainder of the climb, and you can also add customizable data fields. The Edge 830 will handily colour code your climb, based on the severity of the gradient. So that, depending on your perspective, you’ll be able to see how much joy or suffering remains on your ride. Upgrade Your Training If you are training or racing in hot or high altitude locations you’ll be interested in the heat and altitude acclimation features. With these features you’ll receive data post-workout on whether you have acclimated to particular heat or altitude. For longer rides, a well-timed nutrition schedule is vital for maximal performance. While following a pre-loaded route, the Garmin Edge 830 will send periodic reminders to eat and drink. At the end of the ride, you can also tell the device how much you have eaten and drunk, to begin to get an accurate picture of whether your nutrition strategy is adequate. Training Status will display your Training Load over the last week, and let you know whether your training is productive or not. Additionally, the Edge 830 will also keep a record of your FTP, estimated VO2 Max, and your power curve. Activity Profiles And Data Screens If you want to participate in different forms of cycling, or even just want different setups for different types of ride, then you can create a variety of custom activity profiles. You can have a mountain biking profile to see your jumps. A road-training profile with all the training metrics you desire. And a slimmed-down race profile, with only the bare essentials, for race day. Or set up whatever you like. There’s no set limit to the data pages you can employ and you display up to 12 data fields per page, so whether you want all the data or a minimal set up, the choice is yours. Safety First Should the worst happen and you are involved in an incident, incident detection can be used to automatically alert designated friends or family. You can also enable live track so your ride buddies and family can follow your progress. Rest a little easier during the café stop with Garmin’s Bike Alarm feature. Internal accelerometers, within the device, will detect if your pride and joy is moved while you’ve paused for a rest. You’ll be notified if this does happen via phone notifications and an alarm sounding from the device itself. Find My Edge is a particularly useful feature for off-road riding. Should your device become dislodged from your bike, with this setting enabled, you’ll be able to see where the computer is and trigger an alarm to help you locate it. Mountain Bike Features In partnership with Trailforks, the mountain-bike trail mappers, Garmin is offering hundreds of thousands of mountain-bike trail routes built into the unit, along with a trail rating for each. You can then plan a route using Trailforks or let Garmin pick a trail based on a particular rating. All that’s left for you to do is fly down the trail. Once completed, you can see an accurate overview of how hard the trail was and how well you nailed it. Mountain Bike Dynamics is also included in the Edge 830 bike computer. This feature includes Grit, Flow, and Jumps. Grit is responsible for calculating a difficulty rating for each route. Grit factors in elevation and GPS data to rate how testing a trail is. The higher the number, the more testing the trail. Flow will let you know how well you’ve ridden a particular trail. It will analyse your momentum, by looking at things like braking, and will provide a score you can work on. The lower your Flow rating, the better. Lastly, Jumps, as you will imagine is about your airtime. It’ll log how many jumps you’ve performed, as well as the distance and hang time. Summary So if you are looking for a GPS-enabled, touchscreen bike computer look no further than Garmin’s Edge 830. If you are a performance-oriented cyclist, that wants dynamic performance monitoring and insights into your training it’ll serve you well. Equally, use it to pace your climbs and track your jump count and distance, and hang time. The Edge 830 also features a new ClimbPro feature which automatically shows you the remaining ascent and gradient when you're climbing; helpful when you need to pace yourself up a long climb. To go with the boom of electric bike sales, the Edge 830 is compatible with Shimano STEPS eBike system, which gives you a dedicated eBike status screen, data fields and support system status. The Edge 830 can be customised easily with free apps from the ConnectIQ store, such as AccuWeather, Strava, Komoot, Wikiloc and Yelp.Like other models in the Garmin range, the Edge 830 has been designed to create a safer riding environment with smartphone compatible features like rider-to-rider messaging. This is a great way for you to stay in contact with your fellow riders without needing to reach for your phone. It allows you to send prewritten messages and let them know if you ll catch them or to go on without you. You can also send prewritten replies to texts or missed calls. The unit can also be paired with LiveTrack and GroupTrack to let friends, family and fellow riders keep track of your location in real time.Another great safety feature is incident detection which can manually or automatically send your location to your emergency contacts in the event of an unexpected mishap. It s also compatible with Varia cycling awareness accessories, including Varia rearview radar and Varia smart bike lights.  Compact, versatile and great value, the Garmin Edge 830 is perfect for riders who want top-level performance at a reasonable price.Includes:Garmin Edge 830 head unitStandard mountFlush out-front mount  Tether USB cableDocumentationUK/EU Maps
