Silca 3D Printed Ti Cleats
  • £95.00

Traditionally, mountain cleats have only had two material options. Mild steel and brass. This has largely been to ensure that the cleat wore out faster than the pedal interface, but has left us with cleats that are often times very fast wearing, and in all cases, are quite heavy.?Enter 6/4 Titanium, only slightly less hard than tool or spring steel used in the pedals, it's a remarkable 2.25 times stronger and 3 times harder than brass or mild steel. Best of all, the extreme toughness and abrasion resistance of 6Al/4V titanium means that you can expect 300-400% wear life compared to traditional materials.?Now the Silca team couldn't just stop there. By combining 3D printing technology with this material that is 1/3 lighter than steel, they are able to achieve a cleat with internal lattice structure (called a gyroid) which maintains stiffness and strength while reducing weight to create a cleat set that is half the weight of a standard cleat set.?This savings of 25-30 grams per set of cleats is significant over time, particularly in CX events where running is crucial.Key Features:25gm reduction x 100 rpm = 180kg of mass not lifted per hour of riding, 90kg per leg!,Key features,Shimano SPD 24g, 30g lighter than stock,Crank Brothers 22g, 24g lighter than stock,Time 22g, 26g lighter than stock,6V/4AL Titanium,3D Printed in Indianapolis,4x life expectancy of brass.

Look KEO 2 Max Pedals with KEO Grip Cleats
  • £59.99
  • RRP £80.00
  • Saving you £25

The new KEO 2 Max is the product that will give you the confidence you need to go beyond your personal limits. The Look design team has completely remodelled the shape of the KEO 2 MAX, giving it a new, slimmed down line yet a wider contact surface, increasing its style and efficiency.Optimized Contact Surface: The pedal’s surface area has substantial symbolic importance. It is part of the brand’s identity and acts as an indelible signature on the product. The contact surface of the new KEO 2 MAX preserves the strong lines on which its history was built. Its width has been increased to 60 mm to provide a larger platform and improved foot stability during pedalling. This creates a feeling of unrivalled comfort not found in any other pedal. We also sought to optimize power transfer thanks to its new 500 mm² of usable surface (+25% increase). The shape of the stainless-steel plate has been revised to match that of the cleat and to keep, regardless of the position of your foot (depending upon the angular float you use), the same amount of contact for consistent performance. Increasing the pedal’s usable contact surface, without any additional weight gain, improves the Power to Weight ratio, making the product even better and allowing you to perform at your best.Improved Spindle Profile: The spindle profile of the new KEO 2 MAX has also been optimized. Built around an oversized «Chromoly Plus» steel axle, it is composed of an axle with an inner ball bearing and a needle roller bearing, located under the contact surface, to handle the load and distribute it optimally.A new component has been added between these two bearings. A serrated washer, previously used to hold the needle roller bearing in place, has been replaced with a conical spacer. This technical solution reduces friction, increases fluidity, and by consequence, decreases the geometrical tolerances of the pedal body and play. The sole purpose of the sum of these improvements has been to guarantee you irreproachable reliability.Key Features:Usage: Recreational to Competition,Body: Composite,Axle: Chromoly +,Pedal stack height + cleats: 17,3 mm,Contact Surtace Area: 500 mm²,Float: 8 or 12 adjustable spring,Cleats: Keo Grip Cleats,Pedal weight: 130 gr (328 gr per pair with cleats and screws),Accessories: A pair of Grey Keo Grip cleats + screws..

Look X-Track Race MTB Pedals with Cleats

Feel The New X-PerienceLook constant desire to innovate and improve your product experience has resulted in a design that is dependable, durable and easy to use. Our new mountain-bike pedal was constructed around a heavy-duty mechanism, is resistant to the negative effects of coming into contact with various external factors (rocks, roots, mud…), and provides consistent and reliable performance over time. Its spindle, equipped with a double weather-resistant seal, has been improved to withstand even the worst conditions you may encounter during your rides. We have remained devoted to the principles that guide us daily. Fewer hassles mean more time to ride, and therefore, more fun.The Best Power To Weight Ratio: All the energy you produce is transferred to your MTB through your pedals. Their role, is therefore, crucial. Look’s objective in this new undertaking was to find solutions that would enable the most efficient transfer of rider power possible. That is why LOOK has chosen to place the weight/contact surface ratio as the primary factor when defining the product.Generally speaking, the greater the contact surface, the more efficiently energy is transferred. On the other hand, the greater the contact surface, the more the pedal will weigh. The challenge faced by our engineers was therefore, to identify the zones that are useful for energy transmission and then optimize the pedal design in order to limit any that are unused. This task allowed LOOK to engineer a pedal with the best weight / contact surface ratio on the market.Lateral Contact Support: Lateral contact support guides your foot in finding your pedal and provides you a point of contact even if you have not yet engaged the cleat. This wide contact area prevents your foot from sliding on the pedal body and offers consistent and reassuring support.Mechanism Geometry: The mechanism works regardless of external conditions (in the mud, forces are significantly different from those encountered when dry), more space allows for the shedding of various foreign matter (mud, sand…). These zones give the user a constant and stable feeling of being securely clipped in, in all conditions.Adjustable Tension: An adjustable tension screw allows you to fine-tune the entry/release resistance to your personal skill level.Key Features:Usage: XC Competition and Leisure,Tension: 6 to 14,Body: Composite,Spindle: Chromoly +,Float: 6°,Platform Material:: Chromoly,Platform Area: 515 mm²,Platform Width: 60 mm,Stack Height + Cleats: 16,8 mm (10,7 + 6,1 mm),Weight Pedal: 180 g,Weight Pair + Cleats: 464 g,Warranty: 2 years.

Look KEO Blade Carbon Ceramic Bearing Ti Axle with KEO Cleat 16NM with 12NM Spare

Look keo blade carbon ceramic bearing ti axle with keo cleat 16nm with 12nm spare.Blade carbon pedalOur elite-level, top-of-the-range weapon designed for pure racing performance. The unique, patented blade technology is combined with the unequaled properties of ceramic bearings and look’s signature power-to-weight ratio, ensuring the pedal comes straight in as a reference on the market.CeramicFaster - longerEvery component, every ball is meticulously selected to ensure the highest level of quality and performance. The balls are precisely calibrated one by one by a machine, down to the micrometer. They are then ordered according to size in perfectly-adapted rings, with the result that every bearing has a totally unique structure.Longer lifeA long lifespan is the main advantage of ceramic bearings. Rounder and harder than traditional balls, they are less sensitive to dust or deposits and guarantee consistent, durable performance. Furthermore, ceramic is not subject to corrosion. These physical properties ensure the bearings have a lifespan 4 to 6 times longer than standard steel bearings.SmootherReduced friction is the best-known and most characteristic advantage of ceramic bearings. The perfectly circular shape and the hardness of the balls combined with ceramic-specific, optimized greases allows for an 18% reduction of the frictional forces applied to the bearing.SpindleIn order to meet the requirements of the most demanding cyclists, the blade carbon pedals are designed to resist the very worst weather conditions. Particular care is given to each component within the axle to ensure optimal lifespan. The axle is guaranteed waterproof by ipx7 (full immersion) and ipx6 (rotating pedal exposed to water jets) tests. The design of the outer cap and the inside nut have been revised to meet these requirementsBlade technologyLighter – aerodynamic - saferThe use of a carbon blade instead of a conventional metal spring offers numerous advantages:The “blade – lever” system is 20% lighter than a standard “spring – lever” system. The carbon blade blends fluidly into the shape and volume of the pedal, improving the overall aerodynamic properties of the product. The blade technology revolutionizes the engagement/ disengagement experience whilst offering firm and secure support. The bowing of the blade when unclipping means the required disengagement torque is reached more rapidly in the dynamic of the movement, allowing for faster cleat release. Pedaling experience is also improved thanks to a firmer lateral stop. The carbon blade is available in various stiffness options: 12, 16 or 20. The blade can be easily, intuitively and quickly (a few seconds suffice) changed depending on the rider’s clip-in / clip-out preferences.Technology: blade,Retention: serial installed in 16 + additional 12 in box 20 sold separately,Body: carbon,Traction: carbon,Spindle: titanium,Bearings: ceramic,Platform area: 700 mm²,Platform width: 67mm,Q factor: 53mm,Stack height + cleats: 14,8 mm ( 8,5 + 6,3 mm ),Weight (pedal): 95g,Weight pair + cleats: 260g,.

For some riding, the regular Look X-Track can feel a little small. The Look X-Track En-Rage features a bigger platform to offer more support for your riding shoes as well as additional protection for the clip mechanism. The X-Track En-Rage is perfect for trail and light Enduro riding.Key Features:Larger platform than the X-Track to increase support and grip when descending,Adjustable release tension allows you to fine tune resistance to your preference,Compatible with included Look cleats as well as Shimano SPD cleats,Geometry of clip mechanism sheds mud with ease,Lightweight aluminium construction keeps weight down to just 210g per pedal,.Designed to be the perfect pedal for trail riding, the X-Track En-Rage uses a Shimano SPD-compatible mechanism, allowing you to use the supplied Look cleats or Shimano cleats and SPD-compatible cleats from other brands. The mechanism is not only versatile then, but it also sheds mud easily and is tough enough to shrug off rock strikes from errant pedal strokes. Like Shimano SPD pedals, the release tension can be adjusted to suit your preference; it can be left fairly easy to suit beginners or can be cranked down hard for experienced riders who want maximum retention to avoid any accidental unclipping. The extended aluminium body of the X-Track En-Rage has a bigger contact patch than the regular X-Track, providing better stability and grip over rough terrain, but the low profile also help to keep them clear of rocks when pedalling through jagged rock gardens. The aluminium body also keeps weight down to just 210g per pedal. Durability is one of Look’s trademarks and the X-Track En-Rage is no different. Equipped with a double weather-resistant seal to help keep the elements away from the spindle and bearings, these pedals are built to last and stand the test of time. Incredibly tough with excellent pedal support, the Look X-Track En-Rage is perfect for trail riders who want a great value, user friendly clipless pedal.
