Then scrub the chain with a firm brush (Effetto Cog Brush recommended). Alternatively leave the chain on the bike and use a chain cleaning tool (Effetto Mangiacatena). Rinse the chain with water to flush away the dissolved oil and dirt. Dry the chain before applying fresh lubricant (Effetto Flowerpower Wax recommended). Allpine Extra also cleans disc brake rotors. Remove wheels from bike before cleaning rotors. Apply to a cloth and then wet both disc surfaces. Allow the degreaser to act for a few minutes then rinse with water and dry discs with a clean rag.

It will not attract dirt like oil-based lubes, so the life of the chain is extended. Flowerpower is a wax emulsion based in water, not alcohol. It has a high wax-to-water ratio exceeding 50%. Applied to a clean chain Flowerpower penetrates and coats the chain with a thick layer of wax which anchors to the metal as the water base evaporates. This leaves a long-lasting wax coating that is resistant to pedalling stresses and water from rain or the trail/road.It is recommended that about 4ml of Flowerpower lube is used on a clean chain. This will last approximately 300km in dry riding road conditions or 7,500km per 100ml bottle. Off-road or use in heavy rains are likely to require more frequent applications.

It is the tool of its type to be equipped with lamellar (finned) elements at both ends, meaning the degreaser is contained when the chain is moved in either direction. This saves on degreaser, is less messy and very useful on many ebikes where only pedalling forwards moves the chain.Once the tool is assembled around the chain, degreaser is added to the fill level (Effetto Allpine Extra recommended). The chain follows a simple, low resistance path straight through Mangiacatena. First it is squeezed at both ends by the plastic fins then scrubbed clean by six rotating brushes which get soaked in the degreaser.For best results move the chain ten times through Mangiacatena with the tool installed below the Chainstay then repeat with it mounted above the Chainstay. Dispose of the dirty degreaser correctly then repeat the first stage but with water to rinse the chain and brushes. Finally dry the chain with a clean cloth before re-lubrication.

The KMC DLC11 is a super lightweight, high performance and extremely durable chain compatible with 11-speed Shimano, Campagnolo and SRAM derailleur systems.
