FEEL THE NEW X-PERIENCE LOOK constant desire to innovate and improve your product experience has resulted in a design that is dependable, durable and easy to use. Our new mountain-bike pedal was constructed around a heavy-duty mechanism, is resistant to the negative effects of coming into contact with various external factors (rocks, roots, mud…), and provides consistent and reliable performance over time. Its spindle, equipped with a double weather-resistant seal, has been improved to withstand even the worst conditions you may encounter during your rides. We have remained devoted to the principles that guide us daily. Fewer hassles mean more time to ride, and therefore, more fun. TECHNOLOGY THE BEST POWER TO WEIGHT RATIO All the energy you produce is transferred to your MTB through your pedals. Their role, is therefore, crucial. LOOK’s objective in this new undertaking was to find solutions that would enable the most efficient transfer of rider power possible. That is why LOOK has chosen to place the weight/contact surface ratio as the primary factor when defining the product. Generally speaking, the greater the contact surface, the more efficiently energy is transferred. On the other hand, the greater the contact surface, the more the pedal will weigh. The challenge faced by our engineers was therefore, to identify the zones that are useful for energy transmission and then optimize the pedal design in order to limit any that are unused. This task allowed LOOK to engineer a pedal with the best weight / contact surface ratio on the market. LATERAL CONTACT SUPPORT Lateral contact support guides your foot in finding your pedal and provides you a point of contact even if you have not yet engaged the cleat. This wide contact area prevents your foot from sliding on the pedal body and offers consistent and reassuring support. MECHANISM GEOMETRY The mechanism works regardless of external conditions (in the mud, forces are significantly different from those encountered when dry), more space allows for the shedding of various foreign matter (mud, sand…). These zones give the user a constant and stable feeling of being securely clipped in, in all conditions. ADJUSTABLE TENSION An adjustable tension screw allows you to fine-tune the entry/release resistance to your personal skill level. Specifications: USE: XC Competition and Leisure TENSION: 6 to 14 BODY: Carbon SPINDLE: Titanium FLOAT: 6° PLATFORM MATERIAL: Chromoly PLATFORM AREA: 515 mm² PLATFORM WIDTH: 60 mm STACK HEIGHT + CLEATS: 16,8 mm WEIGHT PEDAL: 150 gr WEIGHT PAIR + CLEATS: 404 gr GUARANTY: 2 years
The Blade brings together all the benefits of a blade pedal: crisper in and out clipping, better foot support for more security, aerodynamic shape and low weight (compared to a conventional spring system). The platform contact area has been enlarged, providing excellent pedalling stability.Body: Carbon CompositeAxle: Chromoly steel +Weight: 288g inc cleats & screwsCleats: Keo grip cleats greyThe Blade Carbon pedal spindle was designed to obtain a very low stack height: only 13mm. The Blade body and blade are built from carbon composite material. This substance makes the production of a range of less rigid blades possible (8 to 12) for a cleat engagement and release feel that falls between a metal spring and a carbon blade pedal. Blade Technology uses a blade instead of a conventional metal spring, which has many advantages for the user. The blade flexes, providing a firm hold once clipped-in, and when clipping-out, releases the foot faster at the end of the process in a quick and secure movement. Thanks to the integration of the blade inside the body, pedals equipped with BLADE technology have the best aerodynamic shape ever created. The design of the pedal around a blade system allows a significant reduction in weight and better load distribution.
Look have completely remodelled the shape of the Keo 2 Max, giving it a new, slimmed down line yet a wider contact surface, increasing its style and efficiency. The contact surface width has been increased to 60mm to provide a larger platform and improved foot stability during pedalling. This creates a feeling of unrivalled comfort not found in any other pedal. Look have also sought to optimize power transfer thanks to its new 500mm² of usable surface (+25% increase). The shape of the stainless-steel plate has been revised to match that of the cleat and to keep, regardless of the position of your foot (depending upon the angular float you use), the same amount of contact for consistent performance. The spindle profile of the new KEO 2 MAX has also been optimized. Built around an oversized Chromoly Plus steel axle, it is composed of an axle with an inner ball bearing and a needle roller bearing, located under the contact surface, to handle the load and distribute it optimally.A new component has been added between these two bearings. A serrated washer, previously used to hold the needle roller bearing in place, has been replaced with a conical spacer. This technical solution reduces friction, increases fluidity, and by consequence, decreases the geometrical tolerances of the pedal body and play. The sole purpose of the sum of these improvements has been to guarantee you irreproachable reliability.Body: CarbonAxle: Chromoly +Float: 8 or 12 adjustable springContact surface area: 500mm²Pedal stack height + Cleats: 17,3mmPedal weight: 125g (312g per pair with cleats and screws)Cleats: Keo grip cleats (included)
