Campagnolo Centaur Ultra Torque 2x11 Speed ChainsetThe Campagnolo Centaur Ultra Torque chainset brings top-end features and technologies to the masses. Featuring the same four-arm spider as seen on Campagnolo's "Super Record" model, the Centaur has the extra strength where it's most needed, ensuring excellent rigidity for efficient gear shifts, sprinting, and climbing. It's also very versatile, as if you want to change from a 50/34t to a 53/36t or vice-versa, there's no need to change the entyre chainset as the spider is compatible with either chainring combination.Smooth PerformanceThe Centaur's chainrings have a special anti-friction coating to encourage smooth chain operation. The chainrings also feature Campagnolo's "MPS" technology, which enables quick and accurate shifts no matter how hard your pushing and in all weather conditions. Also, thanks to the use of the "Ultra Torque" bottom bracket system, you'll enjoy consistent, rigid performance and optimised power transfer.Features:Material: Aluminium (crank arms/chainrings), Steel (integrated axle)Speed: 2x11Bolt Circle: 112/145mmBottom bracket cups not includedRecommended Chain: Campagnolo 11-speedAxle Profile: Ultra-Torque - integrated axleWeight: Approx. 875g (170mm crank arm length without BB cups)Technologies: MPS (Micro Precision Shifting System): Optimised design of the up-shift and down-shift zones and of the profile of the teeth - enables fast and precise shifting in all types of conditions. 8 chain upshifting areas and 2 chain downshifting areas result in faster and more precise shifting, even under stress. Ultra Torque System: Six years after its introduction, this system is still considered the best performing chainset spindle in terms of stiffness, low weight and efficiency of power transmission. Campagnolo found a way to permanently conjoin the semi-axles of the bottom bracket to the respective chainset arms. This redesign made it possible to considerably reduce the lateral dimensions at the axle level and prevent annoying contact with the ankles when turning the pedals. Furthermore, despite the narrow side profile, Campagnolo has been able to position the bearings outside the bottom bracket shell, resulting in greater axle rigidity from the increased axle diameter.Buy Campagnolo Components from Chain Reaction Cycles, the World's Largest Online Bike Store.

With the new Super Record, Record, and Chorus groupsets, shifting is extremely easy thanks to the long front plate of the front mech body, meaning greater leverage and therefore truly reduced movement when shifting. Shifting precision is achieved thanks to the design of the new narrower cages. The semi-inner cage, in aluminium, has features that improve shifting speed. The most efficient downshifting on the market is achieved thanks to the integrated outer semi-cage in carbon fibre, a distinctive Campagnolo feature on the Super Record and Record front mechs, or by the positioning of a plate on the tip of the Chorus front mech. Special Inner Cage Design The inner semi-cage, in aluminium, has features that improve shifting speed, give greater rigidity and provides more space for chain crossovers
Every sprocket tooth has been designed to achieve the maximum synchronization, shifting speed, and silent operation. The six larger sprockets have a double frame system for extreme torsional stiffness so that operating precision is maintained even during shifting under stress. The surface treatment of the 11 steel sprockets assures longer component life, maintaining the maximum long term performance.SteelNickel-chromed finishLight alloy supports for the final two triplets11x timing11x tooth machining11x light alloy lockringThread 27 x 1Weight 230g.Options:11-2311-2512-2512-2712-29.
Painstaking work was carried out on the sprockets. The additional speed led Campagnolo to devising a new support structure for the last six sprockets in the two subsets. The form of the teeth is new and they have been treated to increase duration over time. Eleven sprockets that are even more efficient despite the reduction of the thicknesses? Campagnolo have succeeded. The teeth have been designed to optimize the speed and fluidity of shifting. This form reduces stress on the chain which ascends more easily onto the higher diameter sprockets. The large pinions are divided into sets of three and are mounted on a new aluminium frame. Thanks to this, rigidity increases 180% and the individual sprockets are 70% more resistant to torsion.

Designed for the Campagnolo Chorus groupset, the super narrow chain is just 5.5mm wide, allowing it to work with the 11 speed drivetrain. Unique spacing, and a new outer link material ensure strength, smooth shifting and a light weight. The Ni-PTFE finish (Nickel Teflon) reduces friction significantly; eliminating wear on adjacent sprockets, extending lifespan and cutting down on drivetrain noise.
Fluidity, smoothness, and noise reduction: the 5.5mm Chorus chain fully meets the quality and performance standards of the 11-speed groupsets. The strength of the treated steel links is absolute, and the Ultra-Link closure system guarantees safety and the long life of the chain.Width 5.5 millimetresUltra-Link fastening systemExternal links in special new steelNi-PTFE anti-friction treatment2.24g /link.
