Fenwick's Disc Brake Cleaner’s triple solvent formula is designed to clean a wide range of contaminants. The product has been engineered to give a slightly slower evaporation time, thus allowing for a better, deeper clean, resulting in a dry, fully degreased finish. May improve braking performance and reduce brake squeal. Directions for use: 1) Initially, spray from a distance of 20cm to wet down the surface to be cleaned – use short blasts 2) Leave for 10 seconds 3) After surfaces have been wetted, blast away contaminants by moving the aerosol closer and using prolonged bursts. Catch residue with an absorbent cloth Top tip: If used as a chain degreaser re-lube using a Fenwick’s chain lube
Over time contaminants build up on your pads and rotors that reduce the friction between them. This can happen quite quickly to the point you notice straight away or more likely it happens over time and you don’t notice it much as the incremental difference on each ride is less. Regardless, you are either having to pull harder on the brake lever to achieve the same stopping power or you are braking earlier and for longer to slow down in time for your next obstacle – neither of which is an ideal situation! A quick blast of Brake Juice will restore sharpness to your brakes in no time, meaning later, harder braking for the same finger effort (which can in turn reduce arm pump) and quicker times. Brake Juice has a chlorine-free formulation that will not do any of the following: Contaminate the pads and reduce their friction with the discs. Cause that incredibly annoying ongoing squeaky brake syndrome Harm the plastic, rubber or paintwork on your bike. Leave a residue Directions: Spray directly on to callipers, pads and rotors and let it do it’s thing. Brake Juice dries quickly, with no residue so there is no need to wipe anything off. Initial performance does differ between pad compounds and different brands. Generally we have found that the Brake Juice evaporates more quickly from semi metallic and sintered pads than it does from organic pads. So if you do use organic pads you may experience a short period of brake squeak but this will quickly stop.
