It could be said that Wind represents the right wheel at the right time: all of the most widely appreciated and sought-after features in a disc brake racing bike wheel are combined in the new, perfectly balanced design, boasting cutting-edge technological features in two of the most popular profile heights: 40 mm and 55 mm. It is interesting to go back to the very beginning, to the origins of this new project, and to note how the evolution of the hugely popular Racing Quattro Carbon models triggered a true revolution: a totally new wheel upon which each and every key component has been changed and improved - the rim, spokes and hubs are all new, conceived to work in harmony as a complete wheel offering impeccable performance. The new rim, which has been redesigned for use with the new, more generous tyres, is expertly crafted from several layers of carbon, culminating externally with a modern unidirectional finish.A winning mix of performance, solidity, aesthetics and riding pleasure, without resorting to more extreme solutions reserved for the top models offered by the competition. When designing the new Wind profiles, our R&D department made full use of the aerodynamic skills and knowledge gained during the studies carried out in recent years, which led to the development of the profiles now used by our teams on the World Tour, introducing these into a different context but with equally high standards of excellence. Its 40 mm full carbon unidirectional profile will be able to prove itself, providing what is needed: aerodynamic and stable in long stretches on the flat, light and agile in making the rhythm uphill, decisive and manageable in the most technical descents. The balance and harmony between your racing bike and Wind 40C will be immediate: you put them on and begin to discover a new level of performance. To achieve this objective, our R&D department combined several of the most popular technologies available: the full carbon, unidirectional rim is built without holes for passage of the nipples, Mo-Mag™ therefore, ensuring maximum stiffness and reliability. It promises braking like never before thanks to the AC3™ laser treatment on the braking track: laser processing allows the traces of resin to be eliminated from the surface in contact with the pads with a precision never seen before, improving behaviour in all conditions and up to 30% in the most complicated situations, in the rain.To transfer all the power in acceleration there is the oversize flange on the cogset side, with aero spokes arranged according to the Two-to-one™ scheme. that's Wind 40: technology, performance and substance, but in the end it will be able to completely change the character of your racing bike.Tyre Type: Clincher ,Tyre Size: 700C ,Discipline: Road / Triathlon ,Astm Category: 1 ,Weight: 1555g ,Rim Material: Carbon ,Rim Material Details: Full Carbon, Ud (Unidirectional) - Carbon Fiber Finishing ,Profile Height: Medium ,Rim Height: Front And Rear: 40mm ,Rim Width: 24,2mm ,Inner Rim Width(Channel): Etrto 17C ,Tyre Width: From 25mm to 50mm ,Braking System: Caliper ,Braking Surface/Brakes Options: "3K" Carbon Fiber Braking Surface. THE NEW LAW IN AERODYNAMIC ROAD WHEELS Setting the goal to bring the fastest wheel out there we developed a new rim profile called LAW Tech. LAW is short for ‘Laminar Airflow Wing’ and has been specially developed to deliver better aerodynamics when using wider tires by creating a smooth airflow. The first results were shown in previous launched RYOT44 model already which is aimed at an all-round performance and utility. We’re now introducing the fastest road wheel out there, the RYOT55! It outperforms its competitors in real world conditions proven in wind tunnel tests. With the LAW tech rim profile the RYOT55 brings an aerodynamic advantage of 5 watts from 25mm tire widths as where its predecessor, the F6 with DARC technology, was best suitable with 23mm tires. Compared to most common competitors around RYOT55 the wind tunnel tests showed an average advantage between 1,5 and 2,7 watts. RYOT55 sets the standard in aerodynamic road wheels. Taking the RYOT55 out on the road these watt savings translate into the same result while you save some energy, or you can go faster when putting in the same energy as before. This will make the difference when you’re in the final of a race or need to outsprint your cycling buddies at the coffee stop! Build to last Being competitive in aerodynamics is one thing, weight is also very important. With 1620 grams for the RYOT55 we build a set which is there to last and offers an outstanding performance in stiffness due to the partial use of DT AeroComp spokes. The 21mm internal rim width will result in an effective tire width of 28,2mm when using 25mm tires. The RYOT55 is also build around the new DT Swiss 240 hubs which have an improved EXP ratchet system. The hub internals now offer an even higher precision with fast engagement and increased stiffness combined with a lower weight. This helps to bring the performance of the wheel to an even higher level. Build for you with the most precision and same amount of attention we spend on all wheels at our facility in The Netherlands. The wheels are shipped as a complete package with accessories in a nice protective wheel bag. ZIPP 303 Firecrest 650b Tubeless Disc-Brake XDR Rear WheelThe definition of road cycling now includes gravel and dirt in addition to pavement. Simultaneously, bikes are evolving to meet the requirements of smaller riders. Zipp's 303 Firecrest 650b Tubeless Disc-Brake wheel was created to fulfil these needs. The smaller rim provides room within frames and forks for big-volume tyres, delivering improved comfort, compliance and cornering performance on the most challenging terrain. A 45mm rim profile reduces wind resistance, rolling resistance and weight but benefits from a wider internal width for enhanced performance and ride quality on almost every surface imaginable.ABLC (AERODYNAMIC BOUNDARY LAYER CONTROL)ABLC refers to the patented and instantly recognisable dimpled pattern found on all of Zipp's carbon rims. ABLC smooths airflow across the rim surface, and this latest third-gen iteration features up to four times more dimples than before.AEROBALANCEZipp wheels are race-ready before they are camera-ready. VERSATILITY AT ITS BEST When developing our LAW Tech aerodynamic rim profile one key factor has been to make the flow between tire and rim as smooth as possible. This has resulted in superb aerodynamic results for the RYOT44 and the fastest road wheel RYOT55. Although lower rim profiles do not bring the best aerodynamic advantages the smooth transition between rim and tire remains an important aspect! With the RYOT33 we present the most versatile wheelset you can imagine as it brings a perfectly balanced wheel for many circumstances and terrains. Due to the light weight of 1465 grams this would be your ideal mountain wheelset. Not only helpful when climbing it will also offer stability and confidence in the descent. The internal rim width is suitable for tires up to 42mm making the RYOT33 also perfect for (light) gravel and cyclocross bikes. Also for small and light people these wheels are perfect when conditions are more rough. The shallow profile then provides stability and stiffness without feeling nervous. You are in control!
