The ISM4D process machines the rim in the areas with less stress to reduce weight without compromising strength. The rim also features our Black Shield technology, which protects against scratches and dents so you can charge hard through rock gardens and rough singletrack.The rims are made with our patented Fore technology with a fully sealed upper rim bridge that eliminates the need for rim tape. This saves 30 grams per wheel, not to mention the hassles associated with tape when setting up tubeless tires. New Infinity hub is lighter and feature a new spoke lacing which increases stiffness for better power transfer, and the Instant Drive 360 freewheel with a double ratchet provides fast engagement. The rear hub is compatible with Shimano HG9, Micro Spline and SRAM XD driver bodies. The Crossmax SL S is available with 6-bolt or center lock brake rotors in 29” only.
