The result was the Fiandre Light Bibshort, a short in lightweight water-repellent fabric with a single seam. We used a lighter-weight fabric so the short is not excessively hot, and the water-repellent properties are enhanced by the construction. We added our existing expertise on the structure of the bib straps and the raw-cut leg endings, and our best seat pad for racing, the Bodyfit Pro. The result is a short that you can use in the spring or fall or if it’s not extremely hot and that will become your best ally in the event of thunderstorms or passing showers. Or for a summer ride in the rain. We like those too, and if you live in the Dolomites like we do, you always need to be ready for a sudden storm. WHO IS IT FOR? A new thermal winter bibtight for the pros. The Sportful Bora-Hansgrohe Bodyfit Pro Bibtight provides maximum warmth and breathability through the careful selection of materials best suited to different parts of the body. Heavier brushed fabric is used in the front where you are most exposed to wind chill, while a medium weight fabric is used in the back for breathability. Sportful’s NoRain fabric is used on the shins to protect against road spray. All the materials are high-stretch to provide excellent freedom of movement. The tights use Sportful’s TC Pro seat pad. Using the same innovation as the Total Comfort seat pad, the TC Pro offers comfort for those cyclists who prefer slightly less padding and is ideal for multiday bike trips and pro racing.
