Special Formula of Crystals The quantity and size of crystals in this special formula mean that Stan's Race Sealant can only be installed directly into the tyre. As a result of its immense sealing capabilities, the Race Sealant will clog injectors and smaller bottles almost immediately. Working with athletes who push themselves and their tubeless systems to the absolute limit, Stans has developed a proprietary sealant formula with close to twice the amount of their standard sealing crystals plus their special "XL" crystals capable of sealing even larger punctures. Stan's Race Sealant's combination of large and smaller sealing crystals interlock to form a lattice work that not only seals but strengthens and reinforces the area of the puncture, allowing for an entirely new level of sealing performance. Please Note: The quantity and size of crystals in this special formula means that Stan's Race Sealant can only be installed directly into the tyre. As a result of its immense sealing capabilities, Race Sealant is not compatible with injector or other valve installation methods. Race sealant should be inspected every 2-3 weeks for best performance. Be sure to rinse race sealant out of used tyres intended to be stored/reinstalled.
This kit contains pre-measured and ready to apply bottles of Stan's sealant, which extremely efficient and reacts superbly fast to seal punctures and slashes in the tyre up to 6.5mm instantly; these sealant bottles can be used directly to your tubeless wheel/tyre by simply removing the valve core on your wheel's Presta valves. The kit includes a 10-yard roll of lightweight rim tape, which ensures your rims are completely airtight and is long enough to seal 2 Road rims with a double layer of tape. To complete the sealing process, the kit features 2x Presta Valves, which have removable valve cores and will fit valve drillings on a rim up to 8mm in diameter.

The low viscous nature allows the sealant to quickly reach the puncture site and the crystals aid in sealing large holes, something that thicker or foaming style sealants cannot claim. Stan's Tyre Sealant will stay liquid in a mountain bike tyre with a thin casing for 2-7 months on average. Riding in arid climates or storing the bike in a hot area will require more frequent monitoring of sealant levels. Special anti-freeze agents allow the sealant to be used in environments as cold as 28° C (-20° F). To install, remove the included valve cap and nut, insert valve through the rim, thread nut on to the valve and tighten by hand.
Please note: that Stan's Yellow Rim Tape by itself is not a tubeless conversion. Traditional (Non Stan's NoTubes ZTR) rims including those labeled "tubeless ready" still require a black rubber NoTubes Rim Strip to achieve a secure tubeless setup. Using only Yellow Rim Tape and NoTubes Tyre Sealant on a conventional rim can result in catastrophic "burping" issues.
