The Rapide 29 VR features a strong and lightweight aluminium frame that puts you in the ideal riding position for control on the toughest trails. It's equipped with 100mm-travel RockShox SID SL Rush RL forks and a Shimano Deore 1x11 speed groupset with powerful hydraulic disc brakes. Benefitting from the proven geometry of its carbon sibling, the Vitus Rapide 29 VR Mountain Bike is an assured aluminium hardtail that’s well equipped for fun on the trails or competing in cross-country races. Ticking all the right boxes, this bike is light, nimble and, above all, fun. Superlatives aside, the Rapide 29 VR is, simply, an excellent cross-country mountain bike. Refined in looks and performance, it’s the perfect platform for building your confidence in the XC and marathon race scene. A single front chainring, internal cable routing and quality 11-Speed Shimano Deore groupset offer plenty of gear range whilst keeping the maintenance low - something you will be thankful for once the filthier winter months draw in and the trails get ugly. A 100mm air-sprung RockShox SID suspension fork takes the edge off the bumps to keep your momentum and speed up. Sure, you can take the Rapide out for a good thrashing on the trails and squeeze every ounce of performance from your legs in a race, or you can mellow back and let the easy-rolling 29er cruise along without stress. Such is the joy of a great hardtail - the Rapide is no one-trick pony. Please Note: Due to volatility in the bicycle supply chain we may slightly alter the specification of the component parts supplied with this bicycle. Where this happens we have listed the alternate product in the specification table and have ensured that this is of either equivalent or superior specification to the stock component. The Merida Big Trail has been a hit with the mountain bike press and trail riders alike. Bikeboard.cc confirmed that we 'nailed it', while MBR, IMB and many more confirmed that the Big Trail is firmly at the top of the trail hardtail game. Conversations between UK bike shops and Merida's German R & D team resulted in the development of a fun-packed and hugely capable bike. Trail bike geometry combined with a long travel 140 mm fork and grippy 2.4" wide 29er trail tyres make this the perfect companion for exciting trail sessions and demanding all-day rides over rough terrain. It's perfectly suited to UK riding. The modern trail bike geometry has a slack enduro inspired 65.5° head angle, steep seat angle and a long reach. A short seat tube delivers a low standover height giving plenty of space to manoeuvre on the bike when the trail gets technical but still accommodates a long travel dropper post. The geometry means most sizes work for most body sizes so riding style can be factored in. If you want to go crazy fast, take the longer size, for agility, take a shorter size. The Big Trail has hidden talents, in addition to two sets of bottle bosses, there's a trail mount under the top tube allowing you to carry tools and extra gear on the bike. It's also possible to fit mudguards and a rack if you want to trek further afield.
VERSATILITY AT ITS BEST When developing our LAW Tech aerodynamic rim profile one key factor has been to make the flow between tire and rim as smooth as possible. This has resulted in superb aerodynamic results for the RYOT44 and the fastest road wheel RYOT55. Although lower rim profiles do not bring the best aerodynamic advantages the smooth transition between rim and tire remains an important aspect! With the RYOT33 we present the most versatile wheelset you can imagine as it brings a perfectly balanced wheel for many circumstances and terrains. Due to the light weight of 1465 grams this would be your ideal mountain wheelset. Not only helpful when climbing it will also offer stability and confidence in the descent. The internal rim width is suitable for tires up to 42mm making the RYOT33 also perfect for (light) gravel and cyclocross bikes. Also for small and light people these wheels are perfect when conditions are more rough. The shallow profile then provides stability and stiffness without feeling nervous. You are in control! Build around the new DT Swiss 240 EXP hub system The new DT Swiss 240 hubs in the RYOT33 have been improved with an EXP ratchet system. The hub internals now offer an even higher precision with fast engagement and increased stiffness combined with a lower weight. This helps to bring the performance of the wheel to an even higher level. Built for you with the most precision and same amount of attention we spend on all wheels at our facility in The Netherlands. The wheels are shipped as a complete package with accessories in a nice protective wheel bag. (disc rotors not included) Features: Rim height: 33mm External rim width: 30mm Internal rim width: 21mm Hubs: DT Swiss 240 EXP Brake Type: Centrelock Disc Weight: 1,465g Weight limit: 120kg Tubeless Ready Max tyre pressure: 120psi 3 year warranty Hand built in Holland
The ADV 8.9 might just be the best value for money bike we have ever made, given that it’s essentially 2 bikes for the price of 1. It’s equally at home exploring hidden bridleways and fire roads as it is clocking up miles on potholed commutes or long sportives.A triple-butted 6061 aluminium frame with hidden welds, and a full carbon fork with tapered steerer, with thru-axles at both ends, make up the heart of the bike. Blending comfort and control without compromising efficiency or sacrificing precise handling – this is an ideal platform to build the perfect all-road bike around. The ADV takes inspiration from the MTB world with its geometry – trail bikes have become more capable as top tubes have got longer and slacker, and this is passed onto the ADV. We’ve kept the top tubes long and slackened the head angle versus our road bikes, which gives a confidence-inspiring ride on loose surfaces, but without compromising body position for road riding. A slightly taller front end and a shortened stem keep the bars close to hand and sharpen up steering response.Shimano’s 2x10 speed GRX adventure bike groupset has a wide range of gears with a 48-32 FSA chainset and 11-36 cassette, perfect for steep climbs. The GRX hydraulic brake levers are designed to offer better power braking from the tops and are fitted to a flared handlebar that is wider at the bottom than the top, giving great control when you’re descending on the drops. With 38mm Schwalbe G-One tubeless-ready tyres, there’s plenty of fast-rolling grip available too.Completing the package are mounts for full-length mudguards and a pannier rack, adding the versatility for commuting, touring or winter road riding on top of the off-road smiles the ADV 8.9 delivers.Light but strong aluminium frame and tapered carbon fork give great comfort and control on and off-road,10 Speed Shimano GRX groupset is designed specifically for adventure riding with wide gear range and a “clutch” rear mech to limit chain slap,Powerful Shimano Hydraulic disc brakes ensure maximum control in all conditions,Schwalbe G-One All Round 38mm tyres combine off-road grip, low rolling resistance and added comfort – perfect for exploring anywhere,Boardman ADV wheels and Schwalbe tyres are tubeless-ready – easy to upgrade to run without tubes,Mudguard and pannier rack mounts offer additional flexibility.
The original SLR 8.9 Carbon was our most popular carbon road bike, and for good reason. We think the light, stiff and comfortable carbon frame designed with aerodynamic tube profiles and features is a perfect platform for all-round road riding, and the reviewers agreed with us. For most bike brands, 4.5 out of 5 reviews and comments like “Blimey, what a corker!” (road.cc) would be a reason to kick back and celebrate a job well done. However, at Boardman, we are always looking for ways we can push our bikes to the next level, and this is what we have done for the new SLR 8.9 Carbon. One of the only criticisms we could level at the old bike was the 10 speed gears – functional, but a little heavy and unrefined. With that in mind, we’ve upgraded the shifting to Shimano’s 11 speed R7000 105. Offering smooth gear changes, reduced weight, ergonomic design and all the trickle-down technology from Shimano’s flagship Dura-Ace groupset, 105 is a fantastic performer. Not only have we upgraded the bike’s gearing – but we’ve also worked with expert bike fitters to ensure the touchpoints on the bike are going to suit riders even better than before.FRAMESET:The new SLR 8.9c frame and fork use the same aerodynamic design and geometry as the top of the range SLR 9.6 and so delivers outstanding performance. The dropped seat stays and an integrated seat clamp help reduce drag and combine with carefully designed carbon fibre layup to deliver all day long comfort. This isn’t achieved at the expense of speed though. Using CFD and wind tunnel testing, our tube profiles deliver a significant aero boost compared to previous frames, and a stiff bottom bracket and light overall weight mean that the bike responds instantly when you put the power down. With clearance for up to 28mm tyres and hidden mudguard mounts, the SLR 8.9 Carbon can turn its hand to any type of road riding, whatever the weather.CONTACT POINTS:Working with Chris Boardman, data from hundreds of bike fits and insight from bike fit experts, we have made simple changes to the contact points of the SLR range. Using advanced pressure mapping and real-world testing we’ve shown that the Boardman SLR saddle will provide long-ride comfort for the majority of people. Bar width and crank length are also reduced vs previous bikes to make sure they are suited to the fit needs of real cyclists, not just based on old traditions. These changes also reduce the rider’s frontal area, which has been wind tunnel tested to reduce drag, meaning less effort required for the same speed.Key Features: Shimano 105 11 speed shifters and derailleurs ensure crisp and easy gear changes, A compact 50/34 chainset with 11-30 cassette offers a wide spread of gears for climbing and descending, Vittoria Zaffiro Pro Graphene 2.0 tyres combine great grip with puncture protection and low rolling resistance, Boardman SLR Wheels are tubeless-ready, so can be easily upgraded to run without tubes, Tektro R315 long drop brakes give clearance for up to 28mm tyres, or to run mudguards with 25mm.

This high-quality wheelset is Fast Forward's first-ever dedicated model for gravel bike riding and offers durable, agile and lightweight performance as you conquer every adventure. It features a full carbon rim construction, which gives it exceptional stiffness and versatility without adding any unnecessary grams to your ride. Fast Forward has also equipped it with Centrelock disc brake compatibility, so riders can enjoy powerful and consistent braking operation wherever their ride takes them. Another highlight is its tubeless-ready technology, which means that you'll benefit from lower rolling resistance, increased comfort and stability, as well as fewer chances of flats or punctures. Adventure-Ready Carbon Gravel Wheelset While weight is normally one of the most interesting specifications to check, Fast Forward takes a different approach when it comes to producing top-quality wheels. In the brand's choices, weight is important but should not compromise other areas such as durability and agility. For the Drift, it was even more important as they need to last and cope with whatever comes on your gravel paths. You will find this in the DT Swiss Aerocomp spokes and brass nipples for example which - when put together with the updated DT240 EXP hubs - make a fantastic set. The thicker spokes also offer more rigidity and durability and can take some hits. Agility is brought together by the rim's height of 36mm combined with the Aerocomp spokes. These ingredients bring you stiffness and more power transmission when you put the wheels in motion. All your energy will result in more and easy miles off-road and thus more time to enjoy your ride! Hookless Design for Tubeless This wheelset's hookless rim design features an internal width of 24mm only to be used with tubeless tyres. A special carbon layup is chosen to deal with higher impacts when riding on low tyre pressure on more heavy gravel roads. It offers the possibility for a broad range of tyre options from 30mm up to 60mm and with that no excuse for the terrain you will attack. The set puts merely 1515 grams on the scale and comes as a complete package with tubeless tape and valves packed nicely in a protective FFWD wheel bag.
