Our challenge with the Apex and Integra stems, was to keep the strength, stiffness and durability of the larger 35mm diameter package at the same weight as the 31.8mm equivalent. The strength, stiffness and durability were all matched to the 31.8mm equivalent, with and average of just an average of 7g added to the Apex.This all-new Renthal Apex stem covers all sectors of mountain bike. Light enough for XC racing, stiff and strong enough for a 780mm handlebar.The Renthal Apex stem features our unique new clamping system. This allows much of the stem body material to be removed, whilst retaining the strength and stiffness demanded by modern, wide handlebars.
