The Hutchinson Protext'Air Max is a latex based sealant that can be used for Road Tubeless as well as MTB tyres. It has two functions. First, sealing the casing of Tubeless Ready tyres. Second, it acts to repair small punctures that rupture the casing of the tyre. If there is a puncture, the sealant acts to fill the hole and repair the tyre.
Thanks to the addition of microscopic silicate particles, Caffélatex now moves more slowly through holes, allowing the sealing ingredient more time to heal the puncture. These particles are NOT of macroscopic size (e.g., glitter 150-300 microns) but are instead microscopic particles less than 2 microns in diameter.
