A.R.D uses closed cell foam’s technology to make a lightweight tyre insert which gives you a lot of protection. A.R.D will enable you to run lower pressures without getting flats and in turn assist you to increase your grip out on the trails. Keeping weight down was a key factor in the development of ARD, a 27.5” insert will weigh 130g. Rider Kelan Grant has been using the same A.R.D for the 2018 EWS season, this includes riding a stage on just the ARD as his tyre split. In the box you will get a pair of A.R.D Inserts and a pair of copper coloured tubeless valves. Weighing in at only 38g, this tubeless repair kit is extremely lightweight and easy to carry or pack away in your backpack for your rides. It features a tool capsule that doubles up as a handle for the plug insertion tool. On the inside of the threaded section there is a valve core remover hidden away. On the opposite end, the hole has been designed to loosen stuck Presta valve nuts, which can be tricky to open if there is old sealant in the valve. Featuring an adapted head which allows the tyre insert to sit on top of the valve, the shape of the head allows for easy inflation and deflation. Each valve has a removable core allowing you to get maximum air flow from your tubeless pump or CO2 cartridge. The specially-designed custom cap features a core remover built in so you can remove & tighten the core without any additional tools. The nut has also been designed so that you can get a good grip on the flat edges to tighten the valve in the rim. An O-ring is also provided which sits against the outside of the rim and provides an airtight seal while preventing damage to the rim from the nut on the valve. How to Install Remove valve cap and nut, insert valve through rim, fit O-ring to valve then thread nut on and tighten by hand.
As these plugs are super tacky, you do not need to use any additional glue to hold them in place, they will seal up very quickly and have you riding again in no time.
