When it comes down to performance and durability the new Rival 22 rear derailleur matches the top end Force and Red derailleurs with the only difference being a slight weight difference. The derailleur is constructed from an aluminium inner and outer cage as well as an aluminium b-knuckle. Using Exact Actuation, each gear shift is fast and accurate, with the redesigned AeroGlide jockey wheels keeping things quiet and smooth.
Designed around the extra 2 gears in a SRAM True 22 setup, the SRAM Force 22 rear derailleur works with the Yaw front derailleur to ensure fast, smooth, quiet and efficient throughout all 22 gears with no chain rubbing or excess noise. With WiFLi, the rear derailleur lengthens its cage and gets a slight variation in geometry to accommodate an 11-32 cassette. The new range of gears is wider than the standard triple chainring system and saves a significant amount of weight. Using Exact Actuation, each gear shift is fast and accurate, with the redesigned AeroGlide jockey wheels keeping things quiet and smooth. Carbon and aluminium cages, along with a magnesium inner link keep the weight very low at only 178g.
