Owing to its dimensions the new version is lighter and quieter and facilitates adjustment of the rear derailleur. Chain links and pins are hollow so that the chain weighs only 255* g in all. The sprockets must be shaped appropriately for the drivetrain to work perfectly. Each sprocket on this Campagnolo 10-speed cassette has an indented ramp, called Ultra Drive (UD), to assist in upshifting. The Tooth profiles are also custom configured to help with downshifting.
