The Motion freecoaster features a completely new axle along with a nylon clutch retention spring. By replacing the traditional spring/ball system, the hub requires less maintenance and is a lot easier to disassemble than most. The nylon retention spring also reduces the internal drag and also enables faster rolling and smoother crankflips. The Motion is laced to a Federal Stance rim. the rim has a wide 40mm cross section which is designed to be in keeping with modern tyre sizes which helps the tyre maintain its correct profile. The triple box section combined with the wider profile makes the rim both stronger and stiffer than conventional rims and also helps to reduce the possibility of pinch flats. The wall thickness where the spokes are located has been increased by 22% from previous models to reduce the possibility of spokes pulling through the rim. Federal have also changed the material from Aluminium 6061 to 6066 which increases the strength by approximately 30%. The Clutch Hub is a traditional clutch-based coaster hub design that eliminates all of the problematic elements on ordinary hubs and only keeps the parts that work. A new, super-strong Full 14mm axle, bearing configuration, and drag mechanism design stops the need for constant repairs. Equipped with external slack adjustment, which can be done with a 2.5mm hex key through a hub shell access hole (can be adjusted without removing the wheel), and an improved plastic hub guard spec. The Clutch V2 is laced to the G-Sport Ribcage Rim. At 500 grams, the strength to weight ratio of the Ribcage cannot be matched. The entire design revolves around the use of a proprietary high strength aluminum alloy made specially for&G-Sport in an on-site foundry. It is a lightweight rim that can take anything you throw at it. With the Ribcage, the spoke holes are re-enforced with patented ribs that support the sides of each spoke nipple and eliminate the possibility of nipple pull through under even the highest loads. The rim also features cross-over-spoke lacing, where each spoke goes from one side of the hub to the opposite side of the rim for an increased angle and therefore increased lateral strength. The outer walls are extra thick to protect against case dents, while the other walls are extra thin to keep it light.
