Giro Women's Montaro MTB Helmet II (MIPS)With brain-protecting MIPS technology and the Roc Loc® 5 Air MIPS System, the Giro Women's Montaro MTB Helmet II (MIPS) offers first-class comfort and class-leading protection for all your mountain biking adventures. When you're in the flow of a trail, all is well and life is great. But it's not always going to be that way, with crashing an almost inevitable part of mountain biking. If you do crash, the Women's Montaro MTB Helmet II (MIPS) has a raft of features to keep your head safer.Protection starts with the EPS foam liner. This provides the shock-absorbing properties needed to protect against injury when you bang your head. Roll Cage™ reinforcement also maintains structural strength and stability during a crash. The MTB-specific shape ensures greater coverage across the whole head too. Covering the liner is a durable polycarbonate shell. This is bonded directly to the EPS Liner, creating a strong and durable helmet that can fend off the knocks from trail overgrowth. To this Giro then adds MIPS. MIPS (Multi-directional Impact Protection System) The Mips system is designed to provide added safety for helmets in many accidents. For certain impacts, the Mips system can reduce harmful rotational motion that might otherwise be transferred to the user’s head.Rotational motion is a common cause of concussions in oblique hits to the head. In a crash, the Mips system is designed to move slightly inside the helmet to help redirect forces away from the head.A Cool and Fresh HeadWith a total of 16 vents, the Women's Montaro will keep you cool and comfortable when the trail demands your full attention. Cool airflow is also complemented by the Ionic+™ padding. With its permanent anti-microbial performance you'll enjoy the freshness and itch-free comfort whenever you ride. Plus™ visor allows you to easily lift the visor, making space to stow goggles on the front of your helmet when your run is done and you're on the lift back up. Talking of goggles, grippers on the back keep your goggle straps securely in place, no matter how rough the terrain.
