Endura MT500 MIPS HelmetCombining two leading head protection systems, MIPS and Koroyd, the Endura MT500 MIPS Helmet gives you unrivalled head protection for when you're slaying mountain bike trails. Taking your head protection to the next level, the MT500 MIPS Helmet combines a host of features to make your mountain biking safer and give you the confidence to take on ever more challenging terrain. Starting with the in-mould construction, this combines a tough and durable outer with a shock-absorbing foam inner. This keeps your head protected when you push your limits a bit too far and hit the ground. Koroyd Technology Engineered ProtectionThe MT500 also features Koroyd protection. Thousands of co-polymer extruded tubes are thermally welded to create a consistent and fully engineered energy absorption system. These cores plastically deform for higher speed impacts, absorbing energy linearly. Up to 84% of the material thickness can be utilised in case of an accident. Existing energy absorbers densify around 60%. MIPS (Multi-directional Impact Protection System) The Mips system is designed to provide added safety for helmets in many accidents. For certain impacts, the Mips system can reduce harmful rotational motion that might otherwise be transferred to the user’s head.Rotational motion is a common cause of concussions in oblique hits to the head. In a crash, the Mips system is designed to move slightly inside the helmet to help redirect forces away from the head.Cool and ComfortableAs well as keeping your head safe, the MT500 is comfortable too. The adjustment system is quick and easy to use via a rear dial, ensuring you always get a good fit. After all, a good-fitting helmet is a safer more comfortable helmet. Inside, you'll also find quick-wicking and quick-drying pads. These make sure a tough pedal upwards won't leave your brow soaked in sweat.Airflow is also optimised for cool comfort. Large vents, including an upper 'air intake' zone, keep fresh air circulating and allow damp air to escape. Front vets also act as a sunglasses dock. And if you prefer wearing goggles, then a rear gripper will keep your goggle strap firmly in place over any terrain. An adjustable visor completes the awesome trail-ready package.Features:Lightweight in-mould construction; Full Koroyd core provides increased energy absorptionMIPS® Brain Protection System reducing multi-directional impactsRemovable, adjustable visor offering a wide range of movementLarge vents including top ‘air intake’ zone provide increased airflowFast wicking, quick-dry, soft-touch, removable paddingA one-handed micro-adjust fit system, integrated into MIPS layerGoggle-friendly design with rear strap gripper and front vents act as sunglasses “dock”Clip-on accessory mount, accessory clip and light mount includedCertified to CPSC and CE EN1078:2012 + A1:2012 StandardsShop all MIPS helmets - Click hereBuy Endura Helmets from Chain Reaction Cycles, the World's Largest Online Bike Store.
