Bell Trace MIPS HelmetFrom fun family outings by bike to riding for fitness to daily two-wheeled commuting, the Bell Trace MIPS Helmet offers protection and comfort for all forms of cycling. The Trace MIPS Helmet is made with the same Fusion In-Mould technology as Bell's flagship models. Pioneered by Bell, this construction technique sees an EPS foam inner fused with a polycarbonate outer shell. In the unlikely event that you take a fall from your bike, the EPS foam liner provides shock-absorbing protection for your head. Meanwhile, the polycarbonate shell protects against minor bumps while boosting durability too. Bell have then deployed MIPS. MIPS (Multi-directional Impact Protection System) The Mips system is designed to provide added safety for helmets in many accidents. For certain impacts, the Mips system can reduce harmful rotational motion that might otherwise be transferred to the user’s head.Rotational motion is a common cause of concussions in oblique hits to the head. In a crash, the Mips system is designed to move slightly inside the helmet to help redirect forces away from the head.Stay Cool. Stay Comfortable. While head protection is the primary goal, Bell hasn't ignored comfort either. The streamlined, sculptured design features a total of sixteen air vents. This gives a cool rush of air over the head and allows sweat an easy escape route too. A fitted peak also keeps sun glare or rain out of your eyes.When you're generating a sweat, the Sweat Guide™ to the front pulls perspiration away from the brow pad and away from eyewear.
