The MET Terranova MTB Helmet (MIPS) offers superb all-around protection, with MIPS-C2® Brain Protection System offering the very latest in safety tech.Inspired by their award-winning Roam MTB helmet, the Terranova MTB Helmet (MIPS) sees extra head coverage when compared to a standard MTB lid. The In-mould polycarbonate shell with EPS liner is durable, for everyday mountain bikers, and it's also outstanding at dissipating crash forces should you take a tumble. Meanwhile, the MIPS-C2® Brain Protection System lets the helmet slide in relation to your head, decreasing the chance of brain injury. It's not just protective though. It's comfortable too. The Safe-T DUO Fit System gives a precise fit every time and the pads are washable so you always have a fresh ride. When it comes to cooling airflow, the Terranova excels too, with the large vents and internal channels letting in copious amounts of air while allowing warm air to escape. MIPS (Multi-directional Impact Protection System) The Mips system is designed to provide added safety for helmets in many accidents. For certain impacts, the Mips system can reduce harmful rotational motion that might otherwise be transferred to the user’s head.Rotational motion is a common cause of concussions in oblique hits to the head.
