Description |
The WTB KOM Light i23 TCS MTB rim sports a stiff alloy construction, ensuring you have plenty of control whether you’re on the climb or the descent. The 4D spoke drilling helps to remove lateral loading and disperse tension, so you get a smooth, powerful roll even over gravel. Plus, the TCS 2.0 technology ensures easy, dependable installation of tubeless tyres with a smooth, dependable interface between rim and tyre. WTB's proprietary 4D spoke drilling on the WTB KOM Light i23 TCS Rim prevents binding and lateral loading of the spokes, while the spoke bed itself has been updated to provide a more compatible interface between the spoke and rim. Integration of the updated Solid Strip on its TCS 2.0 rims delivers the easiest to mount and most reliable tubeless system it's ever made. Additional Features: WTB's lightest alloy rim employs an open cavity design Sturdy AL6069 alloy produces rims strong enough for daily hammering on a trail bike Updated spoke bed provides a more congruent interface between nipple and rim TCS 2.0 rims deliver WTB's easiest to mount and most reliable tubeless system WTB Solid Strip is included with the rim and provides a smooth surface between tyre and rim. It also prevents a broken spoke from puncturing the tubeless system and losing air TCS tape is also required for tubeless setup (sold separetely) Technologies: Universal Standard Tubeless (UST) Ready: The UST concept improves traction, control and comfort while reducing inertia and flats. TCS 2.0 Technology: This refined version of the “Tubeless Compatible System” offers the same high performance, lightweight mountain bike rim structure, but is now easier to install and more dependable. 4D Angled Spoke Holes: Drilling spoke holes at an angle eliminates binding and lateral loading of the spoke and nipple interface. It also allows spoke tension to be more evenly dispersed on the nipple rather than loading one side more than the other. Allowing the spoke to depart the rim at a natural angle increases the long-term durability of both the spoke and nipple.
