It features a completely re-engineered design and is produced with new manufacturing technology to ensure a smooth and consistent power transfer on the most demanding of terrain conditions. Thanks to its groundbreaking chain design and technologies, this model is well-equipped for wherever your next ride takes you. Coming kitted out with a special chrome hardened pin treatment for maximum strength and durability, FlowLink technology and a PowerLock connector, this SRAM XX1 Eagle chain is a great choice of upgrade for dependable performance on your mountain bike. The strongest system is a chain with no weak links. Eagle chain links have a smooth radius, with no sharp edges or chamfers, which yield a significant reduction in noise, friction and wear. This design also allows for a flatter plate, which means more consistent chain riveting and greater overall strength. And it’s also the biggest contributor to the ultra-smooth, precise, durable and quiet performance found in the 10-50 tooth cassette and X-SYNC 2 chainrings. Installation is made easy with a dedicated 12-speed Eagle quick link. Hard Chrome The SRAM Hard Chrome chain has four times the elongation (wear) resistance to the brand's other chains. This is due to the new finishing process on the inner links and rollers. Push pin strength and ultimate strength are equivalent to SRAM's current chains. The Hard Chrome chain lasts longer and is just as strong. Powerlock SRAM chain engineers developed PowerLock as a tool free, sure, and consistent way to connect its chains. While PowerLock does not require special tools for installation, the especially tight tolerances of 12 speed drivetrains mandate that each PowerLock is good for a one-time application only.
