But with a waterproof Gore-Tex membrane, complete with Gore’s waterproof guarantee, the MW702 XC Winter Boots ensure your feet remain drier and warmer when venturing out into the wilds. Shimano also gives the boots a neoprene ankle closure, offering a flexible weatherproof seal just below your calf. The synthetic leather upper is also highly durable and features toe and heel reinforced zones to protect against the inevitable wear and tear of winter mountain biking. BOA® L6 Dial Closure In order to ensure a secure fit and all-weather cycling comfort, the 702s make use of a single BOA® L6 dial covered by a weatherproof wrap-over cover. Micro adjustment of the fit is made quick and easy via a turn of the dial. Whether tightening up for a harder effort or loosening to boost comfort as you wind down, you can get the fit just right to suit your needs. And at the end of a ride, simply pull up the dial for a quick release of the laces – simple even with colder hands. Cross Country Sole Whether on or off the bike, the XC sole unit performs brilliantly. When you’re pushing on the pedals, with a rating of 7 out of 12 for stiffness, it offers efficient power transfer. And should the terrain call for some time hike-a-biking then the ULTREAD™ compound provides a tenacious degree of grip over any terrain.
