Blazing a trail in both protection and style, the Verce MTB Cycle Helmet (MIPS) is packed with features to keep you safe and comfortable and ensures your mountain biking can be enjoyed to its fullest. Hardbody™ Shell The Hardbody shell wraps from the outside of the helmet to the inside, giving a significant boost to durability compared to regular helmets. The in-mould construction sees a tough polycarbonate outer shell fused directly with the helmet’s impact-absorbing foam liner. This in-mould fusion process allows Giro to optimise ventilation without compromising protection, so in-mould helmets can be both lighter and cooler than traditional helmets. MIPS (Multi-directional Impact Protection System) The Mips system is designed to provide added safety for helmets in many accidents. For certain impacts, the Mips system can reduce harmful rotational motion that might otherwise be transferred to the user’s head. Rotational motion is a common cause of concussions in oblique hits to the head. In a crash, the Mips system is designed to move slightly inside the helmet to help redirect forces away from the head.
