From powering up the steepest of mountain bike trails to dropping into steep and muddy cyclocross downhills to accelerating up to speed on flat and fast gravel roads, the Rincon Off-Road Shoes ensure you get the most from every pedal stroke. The lightweight Synchwire™ upper give the Rincon's both an excellent fit and superb ventilation. Meanwhile, rubber reinforcements are added at the toes and heels, offering impact protection from nasty rocks and roots hidden in the undergrowth. Synchwire™ Technology The one-piece Synchwire™ upper deployed here has been tried and tested on Giro's premium mount off-road cycling shoes. This supple thermo-bonded exco-structure gives you a shoe with minimal weight but one with optimal foot-hold and support. The upper also features more ventilated mesh zones to provide excellent ventilation and breathability, keeping your feet cool as the heat rises. And being quick-drying, you can race through muddy puddles and not suffer soggy feet for the rest of the ride. BOA® L6 Dial System With 1mm of micro-adjustment, the BOA L6 dial allows for extremely quick and easy adjustment of the fit of your shoes. Steel laces and smooth running lace guides provide a firm hold of the foot, providing excellent pedalling stability. Twist and go means less fussing and more riding. Tenacious Grip The sole of the Rincon Shoes is a dual-moulded sole unit, with a nylon/carbon composite sole mated to a grippy rubber-lugged tread. On the bike, the carbon reinforcement at the cleat area ensures excellent power transfer for efficient pedalling. Meanwhile, the rubber lugs dig into any surface should you have to hop off and hike-a-bike some trail sections. And for particularly muddy days, think typical winter cyclocross race, steel toe spikes can be added for more off-the-bike traction. Cleat Guidance These shoes are compatible with MTB pedal systems, which use the 2-bolt cleat standard (SPD standard), e.g.: Shimano SPD, Time ATAC, CrankBrothers, CrankBrothers Race, Look MTB, Xtreme MTB, Wellgo MTB, Ritchey MTB. Also suitable for indoor trainers in gyms etc.
