The mid-weight Transition 2 Jacket takes its name from those seasons of the year that sandwich winter, namely autumn and spring, the transitional seasons. It's perfectly suited to those cooler days on the bike when you want to prevent getting cold but at the same time don't want to overheat. If you're familiar with the pro-performance Castelli Gabba jacket you'll recognise the same fabric is also used here - Gore-Tex INFINIUM™ WINDSTOPPER® X-Mid across the front and sleeves. This provides complete protection from cold winds, locking in body heat. It's also extremely breathable and this perfectly complements the highly breathable fleece back panels. Together they keep you sweat-free when you're putting in higher intensity efforts or temperatures rise over the course of your ride. Castelli gives the Transition 2 a more generous cut than their more race-orientated kit, making it easier to wear and layer up with. Cycling-specific details are also all present and correct. Three rear pockets allow easy access to all your essentials and reflective details keep you visible if you ride in low light or darkness. A YKK® Vislon® zipper slide easily for easy opening and closing and silicone gripper elastic keeps the jacket snugly in place.
