The communicator’s internal, rechargeable lithium battery gives up to 28 days of battery life in 10-minute tracking mode — and provides safety charging to help recover a depleted phone. Flexible Satellite Airtime Plants To access the global Iridium network and communicate with your inReach Messenger satellite communicator, an active satellite subscription is required. You can opt for an annual package or a flexible month-to-month plan available from Garmin. NOTICE: Some jurisdictions regulate or prohibit the use of satellite communication devices.
