Specifically developed for today's triathlon racers, this tri saddle is equipped with a hard-wearing microfibre cover with a water-based coating, which makes it great at handling the pressure from racing in all-weather conditions. Repente has also kitted out this version with an impressive long carbon fibre (LCF) shell for the best balance of stiffness and strength, without adding any unnecessary excess grams to your ride. Another highlight is its carbon fibre rails, which keep you firmly held in place as you put the power down, while also keeping weight reduced to a minimum. With a hidden central relief zone relieving pressure from around your sit bones and comfortable polyurethane foam padding keeping you supported, this is an ideal choice for the demands of triathlon racing. Comfortable Triathlon Saddle The anatomical shape of the Repente Spyd 2.0 triathlon (tri) saddle has been designed to provide comfortable Ischium support in the different pedalling positions, especially for those who like to spend many hours on their bikes. The Spyd 2.0 is the saddle for the rider who seeks the ideal balance between performance and comfort, as well as caring about aesthetics. The structure is reinforced with Long Carbon Fibres (LCF), oriented lengthwise. The quality/price ratio makes the Spyd 2.0 triathlon saddle unique in its market segment. Carbon Fibre Saddle Rails The saddle rails are entirely comprised of unidirectional T-700 carbon fibre, while for the main base, Repente’s R&D department used its renowned Long Carbon Fibres (LCF) technology. Instead of plain carbon fibre “chops”, longer carbon fibres are added to the resin, which thanks to a special injection process, are arranged to match the longitudinal flow of the material until they form a weave that increases the strength of the structure. The ergonomic features and materials used for the rail (T-700 carbon fibre) and the polyurethane (PU) padding are the same as in the Spyd TPX version. Repente Locking System (RLS) The Repente Locking System (RLS) allows the cover to be interchangeable in one simple and safe operation. While maintaining the same base, different models can be fitted to suit your needs. If the cover gets damaged you don’t need to replace the whole saddle. Comfort is provided by the central channel and by the ergonomic shape. Resistant to torsional deformation, the Repente Spyd 2.0 Saddle will let you find your most natural position on the saddle. Width: All Repente saddles take into account the conventional anatomical centre to position and shape: 1) The best point of contact of the ischium bones (sit bones) for comfort and ideal the position for performance. 2) The outline shape of the front of the saddle gives freedom of movement to the legs. Repente saddles with more traditional shapes such as the Spyd, are designed with the nose area typically narrow, so there are no issues from legs rubbing on the edges. In order to maintain the supporting function of the nose, Repente work with the highest quality of padding and their research and experience allows them to judge perfectly the quantity of padding to avoid any rider discomfort. Please note: Make sure your seatpost clamp is suitable for 7x9mm rails. The Repente carbon rails measure 7x9mm, so the seatpost clamp must accommodate this configuration.
