However, along the way, crashing is an inevitable part of your progression. And here the super-protective, but lightweight, Aircraft Carbon DH/BMX Helmet works best when things go wrong. The core of the Aircraft's protection, both figuratively and literally, is Multi-Density EPS foam. This shock-absorbing centre takes the energies from impacts and soaks them up to prevent head injury. This core is covered by a durable polycarbonate outer, keeping your lid looking good when it's getting almost daily (ab)use. Next comes the 14-point Smartshock® Rotational Protective System. Smartshock® Rotational Protective System While most standard cycle helmets are great at dealing with straight-on impacts, oblique, angular impacts are in fact more likely to occur. These create rotational acceleration and deceleration forces to the head and brain. The Smartshock Rotational System combats those extra forces via a suspension system seamlessly integrated into the helmet. This innovative fully suspended system through compression of direct impacts while elastomers allow inner and outer to move independently of each other. Both features help reduce energy transfer to the brain over a wide range of speed and impact types. Freshness Engineering In Riding mountain bikes all day is a hot and sweaty business. But the Aircraft deals with moisture via class-leading 20 ventilation ports. Cool air can flow in, while damp and warm air gets ejected out. You'll also find the liner does a great job of minimising sweat build-up, wicking it away before it causes an issue. Being microbial, bacteria can't thrive either - no stinks and no itchiness here. And for extra freshness, the liner is washable too. A multi-point Visor lets you adjust it easily to accommodate almost any goggle shape and size as well as making goggle storage easier. A tried and tested D-Ring buckle is also used for a secure and safe closure.
