Designed from the ground up, this race ready XC fork is part of Fox Suspension's Performance Series with an anodised finish on its upper tubes for extra durability as well as protection against corrosion in wet conditions. It's also equipped with a chassis that's 15% stiffer than the 32 standard model and features a revised arch shape that offers improved head tube clearance with shorter rakes. All set for cross country racing, its lightweight Float EVOL air spring and GRIP damper provide excellent tuneability and control, so you can tweak your suspension to match your riding style as well as the terrain. Fox Suspension has classed this model as its lightest 34 ever. The 34 Step-Cast is designed from the ground up to deliver uncompromised XC race performance with class-leading tuneability, chassis stiffness and strength. Float EVOL Air Spring Returning with the same legendary suppleness and longevity, the EVOL air spring in 34’s now has an enlarged negative air spring to assist with mid-stroke support. It also now also comes with the option to tune the negative air spring with a volume spacer. FIT GRIP Damper Inspired from moto, the GRIP damper uses Fox Suspension's FIT sealed cartridge technology combined with a coil-sprung, independent floating piston. GRIP allows excess oil to purge through specially designed ports at the top of the damper to maintain consistent damping and increase durability. Technologies: Performance Series: Performance Series forks retain the same black anodized 7000 series aluminium upper tubes as Performance Elite, except paired with a GRIP damper. Adjustments: Three on-the-fly compression damping positions Open, Medium, Firm. Additional micro-adjust between settings Detents. Low-speed rebound 10 clicks. Lower Leg Bypass Channels: As a fork compresses, the air volume within the lower legs decreases, increasing air pressure. The more the fork compresses, the more pressure increases. This effect can have the unintended consequence of preventing full travel from being achieved. Fox Suspension's lower leg channels help alleviate this issue by dramatically increasing air volume within the lower legs and thereby reducing the amount of additional unintended pressure ramping. Another benefit of these channels is that lower leg bath oil is circulated to the upper reaches of the lower legs, continuously lubricating the foam rings and bushings as the fork compresses and extends through its travel.
