All-around Head Protection The in-mould construction sees an EPS foam liner directly fused to a tough and durable polycarbonate shell. The outer provides protection from those minor knocks and scrapes that are common when mountain biking. The EPS foam, meanwhile, provides shock absorption in the event of an impact. The stylishly aggressive design not only looks the part but the extended coverage gives extra protection across the temples and back of the head too. MIPS-C2® Brain Protection System The Mips system is designed to provide added safety for helmets in many accidents. For certain impacts, the Mips system can reduce harmful rotational motion that might otherwise be transferred to the user’s head. Rotational motion is a common cause of concussions in oblique hits to the head. In a crash, the Mips system is designed to move slightly inside the helmet to help redirect forces away from the head.
