Description |
This dependable and playful all-rounder features a Kona 6061 Aluminium frame that's equipped with 100mm-travel SR Suntour suspension forks, a 2x8-Speed drivetrain from Shimano and Tektro disc brakes. Plus, it rolls upon strong and flex-free Alex rims wrapped in high-grip WTB Trail Boss tyres. Agile, Versatile and Dependable Hardtail Bike We all remember our first mountain bike. For many of us, it was a bike like the Lana’i. Affordable enough not to feel too risky but stocked with components that give you the freedom and confidence to explore off-road. The Lana’i features integrated shifters and brake levers to streamline the cockpit and is now available in three wheel sizes: 26" for size XS, 27.5" for S and M, and 29" for L and XL. With an 8-Speed Shimano drivetrain, powerful disc brakes and a 100mm travel suspension fork, the Lana’i is the perfect way to taste what real singletrack riding has to offer. Lightweight and Durable Kona 6061 Aluminium Frame Kona 7005 and 6061 Aluminium alloys are used extensively throughout their range of mountain and asphalt bicycles. A tough, durable, light alloy, both Kona 7005 and 6061 deliver fantastic, reliable performance that lasts for thousands of rides. Much of our 7005/6061 tubing is butted and/or formed, meaning the tubing’s wall thickness can be increased or decreased, as well as shaped, so they can fine-tune a particular frame’s strength and ride characteristics depending on its intended application. Tapered Head Tube More girth at the bottom of the head tube better distributes shock force, prolonging the bearing life of the headset itself and eliminating brake shudder, while providing confident steering performance. The inherent strength of its triangular design also means a stronger steering position and improved balance, giving the rider more control in rough terrain. A zero-stack, tapered head tube also puts strength where the load is going—into the lower headset cup—maximizing bearing durability where it’s needed. Built, Tuned and Ready to Ride Rest assured that each bike is fully built and tuned by Wiggle's team of qualified bike mechanics to ensure your bike arrives in perfect condition. We supply all bikes with a set of plastic pedals, a pedal wrench and a multi-tool kit. Find out which size fits you by clicking the size chart tab.
