PrimaLoft® Insulation ThermoPlume®: Changing the world, one jacket at a time Föhn has partnered with world-leading insulation specialists, PrimaLoft® to make high-performance outdoor clothing without impacting the environment. PrimaLoft® Insulation ThermoPlume® is a 100% post-consumer recycled (PCR) insulation comprised of small, silky plumes of fibre that mimic the lightweight warmth, softness and compressibility of natural goose down. Made from 100% post-consumer recycled (PCN) polyester, this all-synthetic package features down comparable-performance insulating loft, wet weather protection and compressibility. Backed by a history of sustainably conscious innovations, industry leadership for PrimaLoft® includes a Relentlessly Responsible™ commitment to pushing both performance and sustainability forward. They make performance-driven insulation fibres from plastic water bottles, and PrimaLoft® has saved more than 339 million plastic water bottles from landfills and oceans since 2007. Packability Constructed with micro baffles for a slim profile that makes it perfect for layering, this jacket is super packable, folding into the internal pocket. Both shell and jacket lining are made from 100% Recycled Nylon, which is wind resistant and synthetic down proof with a durable water-repellant (DWR) treatment. Fully Featured Two zipped hand pockets, lined with brushed fabric to add warmth and comfort. Elasticated cuffs and an adjustable lower hem are there to let you lock in as much warmth as possible, and a YKK zip with a silicone-grippy puller is easy to open and release heat even with gloves on. Recycled polyester Made by melting down existing plastic and re-spinning it into new fibres, recycled polyester production requires less energy and reduces CO2 emissions when compared to virgin polyester. Föhn uses Global Recycled Standard (GRS) certified rPET. GRS provides certification of recycled input, chain of custody, social and environmental practices, and use of hazardous chemicals during production.
