Made to fit frames with 1 1/8" headtubes & fork steerers, the Hope external threadless headset features 2014 T6 machined aluminium cups, taper ring and crown race (which is split for easy installation and removal) and a set of custom INA Swiss manufactured precision cartridge bearing races for durability and performance, all headsets also come complete with Hope's Hed Doctor preload top cap.Protection from the elements is achieved through an adjustable taper ring cover and integrated rubber seal, whilst the bearings also incorporate their own sealing, and being made from stainless steel resist corrosion - a real advantage over a conventional steel bearing.
