More than just a beefed-up version of our other stems – for the Trail stem we revised the patented C260 clamp to a 220-degree version that fits a wider variety of riser bar bends and still packs a dramatic increase in stiffness and strength over competitor's designs.
First proven on the Ritchey TRAIL stem, the C220 handlebar clamp design creates a more secure interface by wrapping a full 220 degrees over the handlebar. Bolt forces are aligned with the clamp so that the stem body ‘embraces’ the handlebar, which is less prone to damaging lightweight bars. This clamp design allows for a lighter faceplate and stem body with no sacrifice in strength or stiffness. The Carbon Matrix stem body is forged 7075 aluminum with a stiffness-enhancing carbon exoskeleton which makes this 12% stiffer than the WCS alloy C220 stem. Premium quality CRMO steel bolts are used throughout.
All set for long road journeys, this stiff component uses a 6061 T6 3D-forged aluminium construction for world-class performance. Its durable build makes it ideal for riders who like to go the extra mile as it handles all the abuse that comes with riding over unpredictable surfaces. Futhermore, its four-bolt security eliminates linear clamp stresses, so you can enjoy its unparalleled reliability and grip on every adventure.
Made from a super-durable 3D forged aluminium, this trail-centric stem is designed similarly to the popular C260 model, boasting a 220-degree clamp, making it suitable for use on bars with a wider bend. Compatible with 1 1/8" steerers, it fits most MTB frames and forks to provide a long-lasting and reliable hold from a relatively lightweight construction.
Equipped for adventure, this stunning version features a 3D net-forged aluminium construction which gives it unrivalled stiffness and durability. One final stand-out feature is Ritchey has also given it a bead blasted finish which adds an additional layer of robustness to this already solid road warrior. Weighing in at only 170g (approx), it is the ultimate choice of upgrade for riders who want a lightweight component at an affordable price.
The reason for the easier installation or removal is thanks to Ritchey's unique "press-fit" handlebar clamp. This design improves the interface between the stem and handlebar making attaching the bars to your bike simpler and faster. Also, the forward-facing bolts mean fine tune adjustments are a breeze. Secure and Stable Engagement In addition to easy installation, the WCS 220's clamp design creates a stable and secure bar engagement. This, in turn, increases bar stiffness for more precise handling, sprinting and climbing. Also, the coated CrMo bolts are positioned in alignment with the clamp plate's face for a more efficient hold and reduced flex.
Ready for adventure, this solid model uses a 6061 alloy body construction which makes it perfect for tackling all the challenges that come with a long day in the saddle. Richey has also gone the distance with this version by giving it a bead blasted finish which further protects it against the elements and road-side obstacles. To top it off, its updated Comp graphics give it a stylish appearance which makes it look as awesome as it performs.
Taking inspiration from Ritchey's C260 model, the C220 gives a tighter, more secure hold, covering 220 degrees of your bar for a snug and firm fitting. In doing so, the bolt forces are more aligned, allowing for the stem body to fully embrace the bar, preventing damage and instilling confidence with motion. Flip-Flop mount compatible and easy to install and remove, the WCS C220 stem is a prime addition to your bike's steering column.
These strong and durable bolts are the ideal replacement parts for your Ritchey stem.
The Press-fit clamp design installs and removes like a standard stem and is compatible with all 31.8mm bars. Available in polished silver.
The Carbon C260 adds to the amazing strength-to-weight ratio of Ritchey's C260 alloy and Carbon Matrix stems through the use of high modulus carbon fiber, increased boom diameter and a wider clamp.
The strength, stiffness and durability were all matched to the 31.8mm equivalent, with an average of just 1.5g added to the Integra. The new Integra 35 Direct Mount stems feature the same lightweight, 6-bolt design as the original Integra II and Renthal have improved the structure of the stem. The Integra 35 uses the same C-shape clamping system as the Apex stem range, which has been increased in size to cope with the demands of top level DH racing. The use of two independent, C-shape handlebar clamps allows the stem body material to be reduced to a minimum, whilst maintaining an incredibly stiff and strong structure. The ultra-wide, 64mm handlebar clamping area increases torsional rigidity and the use of just six bolts vastly reduces overall weight. In addition, the uninterrupted clamp on the underside of the handlebar eliminates stress risers found on most other clamps, which can lead to handlebar failure.
