Working on the design of the Odin Stem with Mark Burnett, Shadow wanted it to really cater to the modern rider . Rider’s are going taller and taller with their handlebar heights so it was only appropriate to design a stem that would allow riders to sustain this taller handlebar preference. Mark Burnett also added to the design by requesting a shorter overall reach. Not only catering to his preference, this allows the stem to be much shorter and stout. Creating an overall stronger design. The Shadow Treymone Stem come out of a collaboration between two of Shadow's most popular riders, Trey Jones and SImone Barraco. Taking the stack and rise of Shadow's Ravager Stem as their starting point they both decided to make a few changes. Firstly the reach, making it shorter and more responsive for modern tech riding, secondly ensuring it's as strong as possible while being affordable. The Shadow VVS Front Load Stem was developed with Matt Ray and features a modified front load shape. Matt is very particular about his ride and wanted to perfect the bar position so opted for a front load style, placing the bars lower in relation to the frame top tube to add stability and control. Cold-forged and CNC machined 6061-T6 alloy gives the VVS Stem its strength and durability.
