It's also very versatile, as if you want to change from a 50/34t to a 53/36t or vice-versa, there's no need to change the entire crankset as the spider is compatible with either chainring combination. Smooth Performance The Centaur's chainrings have a special anti-friction coating to encourage smooth chain operation. The chainrings also feature Campagnolo's "MPS™" technology, which enables quick and accurate shifts no matter how hard your pushing and in all weather conditions. Also, thanks to the use of the "Ultra Torque™" bottom bracket system, you'll enjoy consistent, rigid performance and optimised power transfer. Technologies: MPS™ (Micro Precision Shifting System): Optimised design of the up-shift and down-shift zones and of the profile of the teeth – enables fast and precise shifting in all types of conditions. 8 chain upshifting areas and 2 chain downshifting areas result in faster and more precise shifting, even under stress. Ultra Torque System™: Six years after its introduction, this system is still considered the best performing crankset spindle in terms of stiffness, low weight and efficiency of power transmission. Campagnolo found a way to permanently conjoin the semi-axles of the bottom bracket to the respective crankset arms. This redesign made it possible to considerably reduce the lateral dimensions at the axle level and prevent annoying contact with the ankles when turning the pedals. Furthermore, despite the narrow side profile, Campagnolo has been able to position the bearings outside the bottom bracket shell, resulting in greater axle rigidity from the increased axle diameter.
A brilliantly designed crankset, this Super Record Ultra Torque 12-Speed model features a titanium axle, aiding power transfer and making for a silky smooth and speedy gliding experience over a variety of terrains. Ceramic CULT bearings help to maintain a comfortable ride while the new construction of the chainring provides quicker and quieter chain movement between the two rings, thanks to its contoured pin and symmetrical design. A top-quality crankset for amateur riders to experienced thrill-seekers, the Super Record Ultra Torque Crankset (12 Speed) gives perfect propulsion no matter where you ride.
Specifically tailored for the demands of road cycling, this 12 speed chainset comes kitted out with carbon fibre crank arms for the best balance of stiffness, durability and low weight performance. A drivetrain – in fact, a bike – is nothing without a chain to make it all work. And in Campagnolo’s ground-up design of the 1x13 Ekar drivetrain, they kept that fundamental component front and centre of their focus. They knew it had to be a vital element in operating effectively and reliably in the toughest environments gravel and all-road riding can throw at you. The new Nickel-Teflon treated C13 chain is designed specifically to work efficiently and securely with a narrow-wide 13- sprocket system. Despite being Campagnolo’s narrowest ever chain, it's also strong, light, durable and amazingly efficient. Technology: Narrow profile: lightweight, strong & efficient 1x13 Ekar profile: designed to interface perfectly with the Ekar Wide-narrow teeth design on the Ekar chainset Construction with different grades of steel & coatings: to create strong and durable links Unique ultrasound bath lubrication impregnation system: for long-life efficiency Includes Campagnolo C-Link for easier maintenance
The 1x chainset is a crucial element in Campagnolo's gravel & all-road specific Ekar drivetrain design. Lightweight, secure and simple, with no wasted overlapping gears or unnecessary moving parts to collect trail dirt. The Ekar chainset will convince you that one chainring and no front mech is the way to go, whatever your off-road ambitions! Don’t let the apparent simplicity fool you, this chainset has been designed from the ground up. Just like the whole Ekar system, the cranks combine strength and lightweight materials. The 2-piece crankset features a strong, durable 630-grade steel alloy axle mated to a polyamide-carbon spider and beautiful UD Carbon arms. The ergonomics of this chainset mean it is suitable for any size of rider, with 4 crank arm lengths available. The outer chainrings are also easily interchangeable, with no need to disassemble the chainset if you want to alter your gearing. Technology: 2-piece cranks: UD carbon arms with an Ultra-Torque 630 steel axle, lightweight and strong ProTech™: strong, efficient, self-aligning semi axles, sealed from dirt by an external sealing clip as well as an internal sleeve Narrow-wide Tooth Design: efficient drive & maximum chain security
The engine of the 11 speed drivetrain is the chain. It has been designed to eliminate all friction with the sprockets adjacent to those in operation. A special treatment ensure smoothness. The thickness is 5.5 millimetres, but the retention force is extremely high thanks to the Ultra-Shift technology. The chain uses very light hollow pins without compromising strength. It is necessary to use the new UT-CN300 tool to fit it. The Campagnolo Chorus EPS groupset takes a great deal of its DNA from its mechanical counterpart as it represents a more accessible version of Campagnolo performance, quality and attention to detail but delivers it in the laser-like precision package of an EPS drivetrain. A completely new design, the Chorus EPS crankset represents increased rigidity as well as fresh and cutting edge aesthetics. Gone are the days of having a dedicated bolt pattern for standard chainrings and another for compact rings and no longer will changing from traditional to compact, or vice versa, translate into the obligatory purchase of a completely new crankset. The new bolt pattern allows for all 3 chainring standards 53/39, 52/36 and 50/34 to be built upon the same crankset. Changing between compact and standard is now as easy as changing 8 bolts and two chainrings. While the new 4-arm bolt pattern makes for a much more practical design that offers the cyclist a more versatile component, the Campy Tech Lab was dedicated primarily on increasing performance characteristics. The new design incorporates a 8 bolt pattern with a spider arm design that not only holds the chainring in place by way of the bolt but also supports the chainring and in doing so, increases system rigidity. In addition to completely redesigning the spider, Campagnolo engineers dedicated a great deal of energy towards a completely new crankarm that is a great deal stiffer than previous versions. Add this new highly rigid crankarm to the new four-arm spider design and you have a complete crankset that not only excels at transferring power more than any previous version but one that is also more versatile with respect to gearing.
